Hi!

Your organic intersections look much better, solid and with clear, simple sausages. That being said, your cast shadows are still a bit messy, so I made a rough demo on that. It is not perfect by any means, but I hope it clarifies some of the issues I have with them. Something that can clear your head on how those cast shadows work: put one finger above another under artificial light, lift it and then let it fall onto another finger, watch how the main cast shadow behaves. It is not a panacea for solving how cast shadows work, but it can help you understand it better.

As for your seal, it looks great. I would've exaggerated a little more the curves on the added forms, to really sell how they wrap around the forms, like this, but as you did them it reads just fine. Great work on the muzzle, I'd just like to point out that there isn't any visible pupil on the seal's eye :P

Overall, good work, feel free to move on to the 250 Cylinder Challenge. Good luck!

A lot of my students use these. The last time I used them was when I was in high school, and at the time I felt that they dried out pretty quickly, though I may have simply been mishandling them. As with all pens, make sure you're capping them when they're not in use, and try not to apply too much pressure. You really only need to be touching the page, not mashing your pen into it.

In terms of line weight, the sizes are pretty weird. 08 corresponds to 0.5mm, which is what I recommend for the drawabox lessons, whereas 05 corresponds to 0.45mm, which is pretty close and can also be used.
