Correct. When you submit, you should submit the old 250, and the new 50, and clarify that that’s what you’ve done. Let me quickly take a look at this submission, and send you off to that task!
Your superimposed lines look good. They’re smooth, properly lined up at the start, and of a consistent trajectory. The ghosted lines/planes look quite confident, too, though I feel like you’re either drawing these a little too fast, or lifting your hand up too quickly. By the way, the non-diagonal center lines of your planes need start/end points, too – all lines do.
The table of ellipses exercise looks quite good. I’d stick to 2 rotations, from now on, if I were you. Also, as some of these ellipses look a little pointy, I’ll recommend that you often check back, to make sure that all lines are originating from your shoulder. Students have a habit of reverting back to a lesser pivot, from time to time, so it’s important to keep on top of it. The ellipses in planes look good – they maintain their prior confidence, despite these more complicated frames. The funnels, too, are well done – confident, and properly cut in half.
The plotted perspective exercise looks clean.
The rough perspective exercise shows some solid improvement throughout the set. I’m pleased to see so many unused points on your page. I’m not pleased to see that you’ve redrawn some lines. Remember that if a line comes out wrong, you’re meant to leave it, not fix it. All you’re doing, otherwise, is drawing the viewer’s attention to your blunder.
The rotated boxes exercise looks good. It’s a little small, but the boxes are snug, and rotate nicely. As you progress through the box challenge, you’ll be able to make some more informed decisions, rather than just relying on the neighboring edges (that’s been the issue with your far planes, so far), but until then, this is more than satisfactory.
Finally, the organic perspective exercise is well done. The boxes are, at times, bordering on dramatic (as far as their foreshortening goes), but that’s alright – the sheer number of them, their overlaps, and their consistent increase in size, more than make up for this, and have them flow well.
Next Steps:
I’ll be marking this lesson as complete, so head on over to the box challenge, and good luck!
