Hello,
Lines:
- exercise
Stright lines looks good (as for beginner). In case of curved lines, looks like your losing your confidence. Consider try them once u repeat this exercise few times during your warm ups.
- ghosting lines
Looks like you started to panic at some point. Keep in mind to work from your shoulder and avoid redoing lines.
- ghosting boxes:
Same as above, work with your shoulder and avoid redoing lines.
Ellipses:
First exercise looks like you forgot to read text after video watching. Ghosting of ellipses looks off.
In Ellipses in boxes exercise you've made some improvement, both in Ellipses and ghosting line.
Last exercise looks good to me too.
Boxes:
One point perspective boxes exercise looks like you were drawing lines to slow, which makes them unstable/wobbly ( dont know how to call it properly). Try to do some warm ups before doing exercises.
Rotated boxes looks good (better than my 1 attempt :D) again some unstable lines, but i guess it will be better in the future.
The organic perspective looks like you were focused on straight lines too much in favor of doing them with the ghosting method. Just trust in the process and do them everywhere :D Apart from that it's looks good to me.
Next Steps:
Conclusions:
Rewatch video with ghosting method exercise and practice it before future exercises, it will pay off. Just keep in mind to do 15 min warm ups.
I think you can face the devil in 250 box challange.
Sakura Pigma Microns
A lot of my students use these. The last time I used them was when I was in high school, and at the time I felt that they dried out pretty quickly, though I may have simply been mishandling them. As with all pens, make sure you're capping them when they're not in use, and try not to apply too much pressure. You really only need to be touching the page, not mashing your pen into it.
In terms of line weight, the sizes are pretty weird. 08 corresponds to 0.5mm, which is what I recommend for the drawabox lessons, whereas 05 corresponds to 0.45mm, which is pretty close and can also be used.
