How long does it take to finish each lesson, I want to be sure about it to make a planner for me.
Unfortunately there is no good answer for that question. This is not the kind of course you will go into being sure of how long any part of it will take - it will take precisely as long as you need to accomplish each task to the best of your ability. We actively discourage thinking of it in terms of deadlines or time estimates, simply because it tends to encourage students to rush, which in turn reduces the efficacy of how their time is actually spent.
Some students have taken 5-6 months to complete the course, others have taken a year, some two. Their circumstances were all entirely different.

I'll tell you my story. I started last november, rushed through everything like it was a race only drawing for practice. Had to go through a massive burnout before taking things seriously and starting from the bottom, lesson 0.
The best advice I can give you is to follow the 50% rule as much as you can, getting better at drawing doesn't just mean producimg high quality art, your output matters too!
Building up your speed and stamina will be extremely helpful on the long run!!
I agree. Brain and muscle memory take time. It's like the old joke about having a baby in a month by putting 9 women on the job. Can't do it. Change at the cell/neuron level needs activity AND rest.
So I started Drawabox at the beginning of January 2021 and I just got done with lesson five and working on the 250 cylinder challenge. I have also completed three of the challenges (box, texture, now working on cylinder challenge). I work on Drawabox everyday (no breaks; weekends included). I find that I maybe working at a faster pace then most since I've heard it has taken people a couple weeks just to get done with the first lesson but as Uncomfortable says it just depends.

Have you actually gotten any feedback cause effectively you are saying you have done this all in month? If following the official feedback route I believe this is impossible as you have a prescribed waiting period to submit homework and you can't start the next lesson until you the feedback. I suspect the fastest you could complete the official route is 5 to 6 months although Uncomfortable would know best.
IMO this is much too fast. It's a marathon not a sprint. It doesn't allow time for skills to be build and sink in. I certainly wouldn't recommend this approach but if it works for you, then it works for you.
I have been at this for two years or so? I am on Lesson 6, 250 box/cylinders.
This recommendation is really just for those of you who've reached lesson 6 and onwards.
I haven't found the actual brand you buy to matter much, so you may want to shop around. This one is a "master" template, which will give you a broad range of ellipse degrees and sizes (this one ranges between 0.25 inches and 1.5 inches), and is a good place to start. You may end up finding that this range limits the kinds of ellipses you draw, forcing you to work within those bounds, but it may still be worth it as full sets of ellipse guides can run you quite a bit more, simply due to the sizes and degrees that need to be covered.
No matter which brand of ellipse guide you decide to pick up, make sure they have little markings for the minor axes.
