Using a mechanical pencil to make construction lines for your drawing and contours line directly in black?

10:27 AM, Monday August 5th 2024

Hello,

I'm back to Draw a box recently and I have a question about Lesson 3 ( but it also applies to lesson 4, lesson 5 and lesson 6) . Here is what would like to know : when you draw your plants (or your insects in lesson 4) I think I could be helpful to « draw a box» with your mechanical pencil and the main construction lines and then continue with your fine liner.

I know that we have to use only a fine line to prevent ourselves for erasing all the time and gain more confidence.

It is fine if the subjet is not too complex but when you have a to draw plant or a insect, you need to add many construction lines. When we submit our homework it is required that some drawing are almost withtout contruction line and some other can have some as it is part of the evaluation process.

So what should I do? Does anyone has a though on this?

Thanks for the help!

Orconomics by J. Zachary Pike

Orconomics by J. Zachary Pike

This is one of my favourite books. It's a fantasy-comedy romp, and the world that J. Zachary Pike has created honestly takes my breath away. There are laughs at every turn, but the story is not without its heart wrenching moments - some for which I have yet to fully forgive the author.

If you're at all curious about the kinds of nonsense I read, or just need something new to sink your teeth into, this is one I can highly recommend. On top of that, being self-published by an indie author, it's the kind of thing where your individual support can go a long way.

P.S: The audiobook, with narration from Doug Tisdale, is especially good, and elevates the story in ways I can't rightly describe.
