Hey Iris 54!

Hope you're well. Good work on completing lesson 1.

Lines

Your lines are looking good, they are confident with minimal fraying. Your lines do seem to arch a little, try and use your shoulder a little more, I found focusing on seeing my elbow and forearm moving was a good indicator that I was using my shoulder. Great effort here, this stuff isn't easy and definitely takes getting used to- I'm still figuring it out too.

Ghosted lines

You've done some great work here. Your lines are smooth and confident, there is minimal amounts of wobbling or aching. Your accuracy here is impressive! You were spot on with a good amount of your lines, great work!

Ghosted planes

Good work on this exercise, there are some wobbly lines here and there, but I think with practice this will improve, I can already see a big improvement on the second page. Great effort here. One thing I found helpful when ghosting my lines was to consider the speed of your arm and then the speed that you make your mark, it doesn't have to be lightning fast to get the correct motion, you can move your at a reasonable and then draw your line at a reasonale pace too- this is just something I found helpful in getting my confidence up, especially when drawing longer lines.

Tables of elipses

Your elipses on page 1 show a good and confident execution and their shapes are fairly consistent, you have also mostly filled the boundaries of the table and most of your shapes are touching, well done! On page 2 your elipses have a good shape, and are looking confident, some may benefit from a 3rd pass with your pen, just to solidify the elipse shape a little better. One thing I did notice is, some of the elipses on page 2 have regular gaps between them, sometimes the spacing can be difficult, try and slow down if you need to, plan your marks and their spacing and then draw them. I have forgotten some of the instructions for the lessons (sometimes there are a lot), try checking a couple of times before and during your practice. Great effort here, well done!

Elipses in planes

Great work! your elipses are drawn with confidence and most fit within the bounds of the planes. There are a few wobbly lines here and there, but this will improve with practice. Well done!

Funnels

Your elipses are fitting inside the funnel nice and snug, well done. Some of the axis lines don't line up perfectly down the middle, but this is ok, it'll improve with practice.

Plotted perspective

Excellent work on this one!

Rough perspective

Good work on this one, this is a tough exercise. Your eyeballing of the perspectve is decent, it'll improve with time and practice. Some of your lines on the boxes are arching and wobbling a little bit, even if your lines are off , what matters is the confidence behind the stroke ( I can see a definite improvement on the second page). Rely as much as your can on ghosting between the 2 dots you use to plan the planes of each side of your box.

Rotated boxes

Good effort here, this exercise was really difficult, I struggled with mine. I would suggest drawing the boxes a little bigger so that they fill space better, it might also make your work clearer , so you can spot mistakes easier. I can definitely see the rotation on a lot of the boxes, which is great.

Organic perspective

Good work on getting your boxes to rotate through space, your lines and boxes will get even better when you tackle the 250 box challenge.

Overall you've done great work, I can see the effort you put into doing these exercises. Keep it up, and good luck for the 250 box challenge and the following lessons!
