Lesson 1: Lines, Ellipses and Boxes

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you!
Hi Twinkles, I've checked your submission,
First of all, good job on your lines, they look really consistent and confident all through the lesson, though seeing that you are already good at them I would recommend you start trying longer marks, in order to keep testing yourself.
Regarding ellipses my first recommendation would be to only go through them twice, more than this will make them look messy and not really defined. I see that you are sometimes making wobbly ellipses, this is normal, just remember to always apply the ghosting method and to focus on confidence over accuracy.
Seeing your funnels exercises, always remember to keep the main axis cutting perpendicularly your ellipses in half, it can happen that our ellipses start to tilt, so we need to be alert.
I'm also seeing that both on your table of ellipses and ghosted planes, your ellipses are impossing with each other and the borders, it comes back to the issue about ghosting your lines, take your time on this
Boxes look really confident and clean, remember that confident lines create confident boxes. In your rotated boxes, you made them more long than what they should have, that result on your overall structure to look longer, other than that you did a very good job on rotating them and keeping everything clean. Another thing that I'm seeing is that you are not applying line weight with a reason in particular, when you get to it, take a close read at what is said about line weight on the 250 box challenge page.
I see that you started to experiment rotating your boxes on the organic perspective exercises, good job!
Overall, you did a good job on this lesson, your line quality is pretty good, though your main issue right now it's your perspective, though you will have plenty of practice moving on to the 250 box challenge.
I'm gonna mark this lesson as completed! Keep it up.
Next Steps:
Now comes the 250 Box Challenge, It's not that hard, just scary. This challenge it's all about two things: constancy and determination. Don't try to rush through the challenge, take your time and try to make the most of every box. Try to do it regularly, if you can daily, go for it! I started it out by doing 10 boxes a day (5 boxes it's my personal best amount for each page, though don't do more than 6) and when I got the hang of it I did 15, and then continued like that up to the end. Remember, slow and steady.
Use all this boxs to practice your perspective! Don't feel down if you don't do them perfectly at the beginning, if you learn from your mistakes and push through, you will improve.
These are what I use when doing these exercises. They usually run somewhere in the middle of the price/quality range, and are often sold in sets of different line weights - remember that for the Drawabox lessons, we only really use the 0.5s, so try and find sets that sell only one size.
Alternatively, if at all possible, going to an art supply store and buying the pens in person is often better because they'll generally sell them individually and allow you to test them out before you buy (to weed out any duds).
