Hi, I'd love to critique your submission, but the majority of the exercises are missing, can you upload all of them and reply to this post with the album, I'll then critique it :)

Next Steps:

Upload the rest of the exercises

Super imposed lines are confident - Nice job. Just be mindful of your trajectory. You can try to self-correct by intentionally moving your line the other direction if you find your lines fraying to far one way or the other - I also struggle with this, but the more I implement the ghosting method, the better my lines are.

Your rotated boxes look nice, but I think it may miss the point of the exercise; Essentially, you haven't rotated the boxes fully, so you have ended up with an oblong series of only partially rotated boxes.

Your elipses look pretty good as well.

Next Steps:

I'm also very new to this, but for what it's worth I think it would be worth your time to re-do at least rotated boxes before moving on.

I would also suggest practicing ghosting and doing a page of super imposed lines as a warmup before starting your next exercise or any other piece you are working on, just to build more confidence in your lines.

Ellipse Master Template

Ellipse Master Template

This recommendation is really just for those of you who've reached lesson 6 and onwards.

I haven't found the actual brand you buy to matter much, so you may want to shop around. This one is a "master" template, which will give you a broad range of ellipse degrees and sizes (this one ranges between 0.25 inches and 1.5 inches), and is a good place to start. You may end up finding that this range limits the kinds of ellipses you draw, forcing you to work within those bounds, but it may still be worth it as full sets of ellipse guides can run you quite a bit more, simply due to the sizes and degrees that need to be covered.

No matter which brand of ellipse guide you decide to pick up, make sure they have little markings for the minor axes.
