For a second I thought you might have made the same mistakes again - but it seems you uploaded the same attempt as before. Perhaps you scanned the wrong page, or uploaded the wrong file.

Ah - upon inspecting it I realized that it was the previous attempt. Looking at the thumbnails they begin to bleed together.

This one is a 4x4 unlike the previous attempt. I'm usually careful about these things.

Alrighty, much better! So most notably, you're following the instructions much more closely now (as you said) - not only did you complete those corners this time around, you're also maintaining tight gaps between the boxes (keeping neighbouring edges roughly parallel) and limiting guesswork out into those corners as well. Previously you were mainly doing that towards the center, but relied more on guessing as you went further out.

I'll go ahead and mark this lesson as complete. So if I remember correctly, you'll only need to submit 50 boxes for the box challenge, though be sure to let the TA know that I'll be the one critiquing your work. Just be sure to give each box, and each mark, as much time as it requires to be executed to the absolute best of your ability, and be sure to apply the line extensions at the end of each page to analyze where your approach can be adjusted for the next page.

Next Steps:

Move onto the box challenge.

This critique marks this lesson as complete.

Pentel Pocket Brush Pen

Pentel Pocket Brush Pen

This is a remarkable little pen. Technically speaking, any brush pen of reasonable quality will do, but I'm especially fond of this one. It's incredibly difficult to draw with (especially at first) due to how much your stroke varies based on how much pressure you apply, and how you use it - but at the same time despite this frustration, it's also incredibly fun.

Moreover, due to the challenge of its use, it teaches you a lot about the nuances of one's stroke. These are the kinds of skills that one can carry over to standard felt tip pens, as well as to digital media. Really great for doodling and just enjoying yourself.
