Thank you very much! I am glad that you can see visible improvement, I felt that I was improving so it's nice to hear that others can see it too. Will be moving on to the 250 box challenge tonight!

Thank you for the feedback! I will practice my ellipses and planes while I wait for more feedback on my exercises, I took a peek at the next lesson and I think I'll need the practice.

Nice job getting back into things after taking a break! I think your lines are great and your ellipses especially are really good. The tables of ellipses are very clear and I can see a lot of improvement, and your funnels are way better than mine turned out.

However, I would say that you should probably practice the ghosting method again because the material after your break seems to suffer from less confident mark making. The rotated boxes and organic perspective could definitely use some work, a lot of the lines are wobbly and it seems more like a guess than a deliberate mark made with the ghosting method.

    Next Steps:

Maybe review the ghosting method and practice it a bit, then redo a page of the rough perspective, rotated boxes, and organic perspective. Also, make sure you add more boxes with the organic perspective exercise.

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

Looks quite good! I noticed a lot of improvement throughout your homework, especially in your table of ellipses. My main critique is to be less afraid of making things cluttered in your practice. For example: fit more boxes in the rough perspective example, let boxes overlap in organic perspective, and try a wider variety of shapes in the ghosted planes exercise. But you'll have plenty of time to practice that in later homework!

    Next Steps:

You should tackle the 250 box challenge to build up more practice with ghosting lines and 3D space.

Pentel Pocket Brush Pen

Pentel Pocket Brush Pen

This is a remarkable little pen. Technically speaking, any brush pen of reasonable quality will do, but I'm especially fond of this one. It's incredibly difficult to draw with (especially at first) due to how much your stroke varies based on how much pressure you apply, and how you use it - but at the same time despite this frustration, it's also incredibly fun.

Moreover, due to the challenge of its use, it teaches you a lot about the nuances of one's stroke. These are the kinds of skills that one can carry over to standard felt tip pens, as well as to digital media. Really great for doodling and just enjoying yourself.
