Well, it's okay but some of your lines are parallel or diverging here is something that can help you : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mteUPdCHn4s&t=

Moreover you have many things that may help you on the discord server in basic-challenges pinned messages.

Congrats to has finally finish this challenge, it's was pretty difficult no ?

    1. You are extending lines in the right direction so one positive point, good job.

    2. I notice that you were struggling with converging lines which are often converging too earlier however they are not being parallel or diverging which is a good point.

    3. Your hatching lines are pretty and are on the right face which facing us, again good job.

    4. When you are drawing a line which is a little bit off don't redo it, however your lines as a whole are pretty and straight.

    5. You should do more of variety in the orientation of your box.

    6. I saw that a lot of your Inner corner was off so a way to improve them is to start thinking about the relationships between lines instead of just thinking about the lines in pairs. When drawing the lines of the boxes, the student should keep in mind all the other lines in the set, comparing their angles and making a guess based on them. This diagram explain this more clearly:

The diagram can be pretty hard to understand at first, so if you don't understand it, don't get frustrated, keep reading it from time to time while practicing regularly, and it will click eventually.

It's can help you to change the order in which you drew boxes in. By drawing the inner corner before the last line of the box, it easier to use the previously mentioned info of thinking about the relationship between lines, and made it easier for me to get the convergences right. Here's the order I'm talking about:

This takes into advantage something explained in the rotated boxes exercise too (taking advantage of lines that are very close), so give a look at the page if you want to know more about it.

    Next Steps:

I want you to do 10 box and apply what I mentioned. Take your time and good luck.

Congrats to have finsh the challenge of the death !

Time to start, First of all as a whole your extending lines in the right direction which is appreciate. Secondly At the beginning of your try, your lines was often diverging or was parallel but you corrected that quickly so wonderfull. To continue your hatching line are pretty and your has right on the face which are facing to us. I noticed that you was correctting some of your lines and hatching your lines, don't do that pls try to apply has best as you can the ghosting method and if you fail it's okay however your lines are really nice. Then try to draw more diversify box in their orientation.

That all sadly your try is really good and I don't have a lot to say on it :)

    Next Steps:

Amazing and good luck for lesson 2 continue in the same way and you should succed.

    Congrats to complete this challenge.

Well, let's start, as a whole the quality of your box is amazing especially when I look at your first pages, they don't really look like first pages. Your lines extending in the right direction which is exellent, your hatching lines are great and they are on the right face which are facing us. Secondly your lines are rarely diverging and they are also pretty not often parallel so exellent. To conclude with positive point your line are really straight (amazing).

However you should draw a little bit more of variety in your box.

I'm sorry but I don't really have anything to complain about your challenge try and I saw that you was taking some "notes" to don't repeat your miss so it's perfect.

    It's was a nice work :)

    Next Steps:

Exellent as a whole continue like that with the lesson 2.

Congrats to have done the 250 box challenge !

Well let's start, first of all sometimes you lines are extending in the wrong direction, I saw that at the beginning of your challenge and at the end so you should correct that point. Secondly your lines are too parallel and they are sometimes diverging so watch out !

Here a link to understand that : https://imgur.com/mWLlnYl

    1. Your hatching lines are pretty messy, many times I saw that you didn't know which face was facing to you.

    2. I noticed that you was struggling with your lines to end at a point. When you was failed with your lines you was trying to redo them but you should probably do not that and always use ghosting method.

    3. You should draw more of diversity in your box, a lot are similar.

    4. Your box are too small they must take all the page when you draw 5 or 6.

    5. And last something that I tell to all my critiques because It's really usefull : Inner corner, A way to improve them is to start thinking about the relationships between lines instead of just thinking about the lines in pairs.

A thing I've found that helped me inmediately to improve the inner corner while I was doing the challenge is to change the order I drew boxes in. By drawing the inner corner before the last line of the box, I found it easier to use the previously mentioned info of thinking about the relationship between lines, and made it easier for me to get the convergences right. Next Steps:

I want you to do 10 box and aply what I mentioned and also 2 pages of ghosted line exercice. Take your time and good luck.

So to start, I saw at the beginning of the challenge you was Extending lines in the wrong direction, but by moving forward in the exercise I noticed that you had corrected this. Also, you were extending only one vanishing point at the beginning but you have corrected it. However, I saw that often your lines are diverging or are parallel so watch out!

Here is a link for that: https://imgur.com/mWLlnYl

To continue I noticed that sometimes you were messing with the face that was facing to you, be careful with that. As well as your hatching lines often goes beyond the face, be meticulous with them. I will mention that often you are adding lineweight at a place where it's useless and they are also wobbly. You should also get a little bit more of variety in your box.

And to conclude a last note is Inner corner, a way to improve them is to start thinking about the relationships between lines instead of just thinking about the lines in pairs. When drawing the lines of the boxes, the student should keep in mind all the other lines in the set, comparing their angles and making a guess based on them. This diagram explain this more clearly:

    Next Steps:

I want you to do 10 box and try to apply and correct what I mention good luck.

The recommendation below is an advertisement. Most of the links here are part of Amazon's affiliate program (unless otherwise stated), which helps support this website. It's also more than that - it's a hand-picked recommendation of something I've used myself. If you're interested, here is a full list.
Faber Castell PITT Artist Pens

Faber Castell PITT Artist Pens

Like the Staedtlers, these also come in a set of multiple weights - the ones we use are F. One useful thing in these sets however (if you can't find the pens individually) is that some of the sets come with a brush pen (the B size). These can be helpful in filling out big black areas.

Still, I'd recommend buying these in person if you can, at a proper art supply store. They'll generally let you buy them individually, and also test them out beforehand to weed out any duds.
