Thanks Tofu! Really appreciate the feedback. I was not aware of the cross hatching touching so that is awesome to keep in mind for next exercises and will definitely keep all your critique in mind when practicing boxes.

Also, I really appreciate the advice you gave on rushing and I will take your advice and not keep speed of submissions in mind. All the challenges so far took longer than I expected because I really want to put effort into understanding the principles so I don't even think it would be possible for me to get tasks done every two weeks.

Thanks again, really appreciate. I will move on to lesson 2!

Hey Rob! Nice to meet you. Thank you so much, this was extremely helpful. Looking at your feedback and my work I can see exactly what you are trying to say, so thanks for that. I'm definitely going to push on getting those ellipses done correctly in warmups and will move on to 250 box challenge now.

    Thanks again.

Staedtler Pigment Liners

Staedtler Pigment Liners

These are what I use when doing these exercises. They usually run somewhere in the middle of the price/quality range, and are often sold in sets of different line weights - remember that for the Drawabox lessons, we only really use the 0.5s, so try and find sets that sell only one size.

Alternatively, if at all possible, going to an art supply store and buying the pens in person is often better because they'll generally sell them individually and allow you to test them out before you buy (to weed out any duds).
