Hi, I'll be giving you my feedback today

    -superimposed lines

from what I can see is your lines are arcing abit and some of them are fraying from both ends.

    -ghosted lines

I see that your lines are very confident and accurate with some arcing on some lines .

    -ghosted planes

again very nice line confidence and accuracy.

    -table of ellipses

your ellipses are pretty nice and snug .

    -ellipses in planes

again they are very nice and are drawn through correctly but some of them are a little wobbly.

    -funnels

great they are snug and are correctly cut in half.

    -plotted prespective

boxes are drawn through properly .

    -rough prespective

great width lines are parallel to the horizon and the height lines are perpendicular to the horizon , and you used the line correction method.

    -rotated boxes

pretty great you kept corners tight and rotated the boxes properly .

    -organic perspective

    also pretty good .

    Next Steps:

I recommend going into the 250 boxes challenge

Hi, I'll be giving you my feedback today

    -superimposed lines

the only mistake I can see is your lines are arcing abit I recommend just getting used to drawing with a tempo from your shoulder.

    -ghosted lines

I see that your lines are very confident and accurate that's very nice .

    -ghosted planes

again very nice line confidence and accuracy.

    -table of ellipses

your ellipses are pretty nice and snug but some of them are going out of bounds.

    -ellipses in planes

again they are very nice and are drawn through correctly but some of them are.

    -funnels

great they are snug and are correctly cut in half.

    -organic perspective

also pretty good but may benefit from line weight where lines intersect.

    Next Steps:

good luck on the 250 boxes challenge

Hi, I'll be giving you my feedback today

    -superimposed lines

the only mistake I can see is your lines are a bit wobbly but over all your lines are really confident and hit the point with that

    -ghosted lines

again I see that your lines are very confident that's more than great the only mistake I see is that some lines are arcing

    -table of ellipses

from what I can see your ellipses are pretty snuggy and not going out of their bounds but again there seems to be some wobble in them

    Next Steps:

I suggest going into the 250 boxes challenge and wish you good luck with completing it

Hi, I'll be giving you my feedback today

    -superimposed lines

the only mistakes I can see are :

1-your lines are a bit wobbly and you're focusing too much on replicating the first line 100% as uncomfortable mentions confidence in your lines is much more important than accuracy although both are important I recommend practicing drawing lines a little more loosely and from your shoulder as mentioned here : https://drawabox.com/lesson/1/2

2- your lines sometimes fray on both ends meaning you sometimes don't start from the same point

    -ghosted lines

same as before only mistake I see are wobbly lines

    -ghosted planes

I see that you drew some lines twice as a correction a common theme with draw a box is to learn to accept your mistakes in mark making and move past them if you are not satisfied with a certain line move past it and try to make the next one better

    -plotted prespective

from what I can see you did not draw through the boxes again this is something that will stick with you for the rest of the course as we will be drawing through our forms even in complicated assignments so it's better to get used to it from lesson 1

    -rotated boxes

the only mistake I can point out here is that you need to keep your boxes closer together and to try to use your already drawn boxes as guides for your rotation

    Next Steps:

I suggest working a little on the exercises provided on lesson 1 specially line exercises

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

    Hello !

That is actually a good point since I always felt like it was awkward to draw lines on my tablet until I got used to overcompensate thank you I will try to practice more in that active area size .

Yes I meant that my lines aren't as accurate as I would like them to be but the reason I think it's a big deal is because I've been following draw a box lessons for 2 years now granted it wasn't in ink but I didn't think it would be this bad .

I did submit pictures and the critique I got was as I expected about my accuracy .

and about digital drawing I used a grapic tablet and I did everything free hand with no smoothing to try and make it as close as possible to ink .

I know I threw alot of questions at you at once but Iam seriously worried that I wasted 2 years of learning thank you for taking the time to answer this .

Thanks alot for your critique I was actually surprised you thought my lines are confident I thought I needed to work on both my confidence and accuracy and for the ruler lines I tried to free hand them since my ruler some how did something to my fineliner's nib again appreciate your critique and I will be working on my accuracy and prespective skills abit before going into 250 boxes .

Hello SKOL from what I can see your progress is great and you understand the concepts of these lessons you even started to do harder variations of the organic perspective the only thing I see worth improving is elipses I recommend drawing them away from your body and relaxing your grip as you draw them I find this helps me alot and good luck in the coming lessons man they are alot more fun than lesson one and the 250 boxes challenge .

Pentel Pocket Brush Pen

Pentel Pocket Brush Pen

This is a remarkable little pen. Technically speaking, any brush pen of reasonable quality will do, but I'm especially fond of this one. It's incredibly difficult to draw with (especially at first) due to how much your stroke varies based on how much pressure you apply, and how you use it - but at the same time despite this frustration, it's also incredibly fun.

Moreover, due to the challenge of its use, it teaches you a lot about the nuances of one's stroke. These are the kinds of skills that one can carry over to standard felt tip pens, as well as to digital media. Really great for doodling and just enjoying yourself.
