Hey, I'll be critiquing your work today.

    Superimposed Lines

Your superimposed lines are not too bad. You marked your lines confidently and didn't rush and i can't see much fraying at the starting point. Pretty good.

    Ghosted Lines

Again, not too bad. From what I can see, your long lines are pretty straight and confident, although they do overextend slightly, but that's fine. The shorter lines tend to wobble slightly, which suggests to me, you're not confident with those yet. Just remember that once you put pen to paper you have to commit to the action. Overall, pretty good.

    Ghosted Planes

You marked those line confidently without hesitation. Not much I can say or complain about.

    Tables of Ellipses

Your ellipses are nice and snuggly fit into the frame and they're mostly drawn through twice but I can see that they're wobbly. Remember to ghost through your lines, place them down confidently and use your shoulder while doing so.

    Ellipses in Planes

Your ellipses are better here, a lot less wobbling, however I can see a few oddly shaped ones. Again, just remember to use the ghosting method and focus on getting a good confident evenly shaped ellipse.

    Funnels

Not much I can complain about here. I can see you're attempting to align the ellipses to the minor axis and you did pretty well.

    Plotted Perspective

Not much to say here. Very well done.

    Rough perspective

Your lines are still pretty wobbly and hesitant other than that it all seems to be good. your horizonal lines run parallel to the horizon line.

    Rotated Boxes

Your line confidence is a lot better here. You did a good job with rotating the boxes, they aren't going to the same vanishing point and you drew through the boxes well. The only problem is that I can see you missed a few rotated boxes on the far left, right and bottom side of the pages. I want you to finish those off please.

    Organic Perspective

Overall your boxes are pretty good. I can see some that are a bit off with it's perspective but it will be fine as you'll be drawing a lot more boxes with the 250 box challenge.

Overall, I can say you did a pretty good job. The main issue I have really is that you lines lack confidence and tend to wobble a lot. Remember to ghost out your lines and use your shoulder to confidently make your mark.

    Next Steps:

All I want you to do is to finish off your rotated boxes as you missed a few corner boxes at the left, right and bottom side of the page.

Great job! From what I can see you've done everything pretty well so I'll allow you to move onto the 250 box challenge.

    Next Steps:

You can move onto the 250 box challenge.

Hey, I'll be critiquing your work today.

    Superimposed Lines

Confident and little to no fraying on the short lines. Very well done.

    Ghosted Lines

Very confident straight lines. Can't see any wobbling or attempts to fix a line. Good job

    Ghosted Planes

Once again very confident lines. I see no attempt at rushing, you have a good variety of different shaped planes and you fit them all on the page very nicely.

    Tables of Ellipses

Pretty good. You drew through the ellipses two to three times, you made an effort to keep your ellipses inside the borders and most of them are nice and evenly shaped. However, I'll add that a lot of the ellipses are quite similar. It's good to experiment with different shapes and angles.

    Ellipses in Planes

Ellipses are drawn through twice, they're touching all four walls with none of them are floating and they're all nice and evenly shaped.

    Funnels

I can see a tiny bit of confidence loss in your ellipses but you did a great job of fitting them touching each other and snuggly into the funnel. They are also well aligned. Great job

    Plotted Perspective

Not much to say here other than maybe focus on your hatching a bit more. I can see they're wobbly and not confident. Remember to use the ghosting method. Other than that you knocked it out of the park.

    Rough Perspective

You're using 1 vanishing point. The line extensions are good, the lines are nice and straight and no rushing with the ruler. Your freehand lines are okay. A lot of them are pretty good but a few are wobbly, not confident or are drawn through twice.

    Rotated Boxes

Pretty darn good. The linework is very confident, the gaps inbetween boxes are consistent although maybe a tiny bit wide. The boxes are rotated pretty good. The only thing I would like you to do is finished off the box rotations. I can see that in the corners that there isn't a rotated box there.

    Organic Perspective

I can see some some parallel lines on a few boxes and one is two point. This is fine for now, you'll be doing more of the Y method during the 250 challenge.

    Next Steps:

All I want you to do is just to finish off the rotated boxes, really. You just need to do the corners and you should be ready for the 250 box challenge.

Rapid Viz

Rapid Viz

Rapid Viz is a book after mine own heart, and exists very much in the same spirit of the concepts that inspired Drawabox. It's all about getting your ideas down on the page, doing so quickly and clearly, so as to communicate them to others. These skills are not only critical in design, but also in the myriad of technical and STEM fields that can really benefit from having someone who can facilitate getting one person's idea across to another.

Where Drawabox focuses on developing underlying spatial thinking skills to help facilitate that kind of communication, Rapid Viz's quick and dirty approach can help students loosen up and really move past the irrelevant matters of being "perfect" or "correct", and focus instead on getting your ideas from your brain, onto the page, and into someone else's brain as efficiently as possible.
