Sorry for being impatient. I wanted to get through this lesson as soon as possible, so I end up rushing through the previous revision, and didn't read your reviews throughly enough. After that, I had a little burnout due to my exams and couldn't pick up the fineliner for about 2 weeks. In that time, I read all of your critiques again, and use my free time doing the 50% rule. In this revision, i think i have corrected most of the points you make (hopefully), but the texture, especially the veins in leaves, still confuse me in one way or another. Once again, sorry for all the trouble I've caused, and thank you very much for your honesty!

I feel that this revision is even worse than my previous one :( Here is the link:https://imgur.com/a/xx1Q7Cr

Thanks for all your hard work on this! At first I found it quite difficult to draw leaves smoothly, but thanks to the ghosting method and the arrow head, it has become much easier. Also, I tried as hard as i could to build constructions without skipping any steps, though it took much more time than before. For the texture part, I will try my best to limit the ink used at this step. Here is the revision : https://imgur.com/a/ltY17L5

Hey Benj, can I ask you something ? Will I have to wait for 14 days to get my lesson 1 critiqued ? And in the meantime, should I start doing the 250 boxes challenge or just drawing for fun ?

The Art of Blizzard Entertainment

While I have a massive library of non-instructional art books I've collected over the years, there's only a handful that are actually important to me. This is one of them - so much so that I jammed my copy into my overstuffed backpack when flying back from my parents' house just so I could have it at my apartment. My back's been sore for a week.

The reason I hold this book in such high esteem is because of how it puts the relatively new field of game art into perspective, showing how concept art really just started off as crude sketches intended to communicate ideas to storytellers, designers and 3D modelers. How all of this focus on beautiful illustrations is really secondary to the core of a concept artist's job. A real eye-opener.
