    Hi Novaquaide!

Your elipses in planes and organic perspective are great, good job!!

In all case, I must demand you again to complete your rotated boxes exercise, you haven't draw the 3 corner boxes that correspond to each side. You're on the right way, but must put more attention into the instructions, keep going!!

Here you have an example of what I'm talking about:

And here I leave you a link explaining the exercise in video.

Hello Ceffeteer! I'm Kort3, I'll correct your exercises today. Let's start!

    Superimposed lines:

Although at the beginning they do not start at the same point, later on it is seen that they do, this means that more attention has been paid to the exercise, very good. In general it is seen that they have been carried out safely, without hesitation and without tremors.

Ghost lines: In general they have been done safely and without shaking, some arched, which could mean that they are not done from the shoulder, but nothing worrying. However, one thing you should pay more attention to is not repeating the lines you make, it is one of the premises of the course. This is done to pay attention to each and every one of the lines we make.

    Phantom planes:

In general they are fine, but on the first page the same thing happened to you as on the ghost lines, but you have corrected it on the second page, great!

    Ellipses:

Its execution is correct, since the line is made twice, in addition to doing them safely, in some cases you can see a tremor or the line suddenly changes direction, this may be because the line has been made from the wrist or the elbow instead of the shoulder, pay attention to this, as it will be very useful to get used to it.

    Ellipses in planes:

    Nothing to add here.

    Funnels:

They're pretty good, but when you do them in your warm-ups, try to make the ones closest to the center line narrower and the ones further away wider.

    Plotted perspective:

It is well made, follow the instructions, with time and practice you will gain a better understanding of space. Keep it up!

    Rough perspective:

Nothing to say about this, with time and practice everything will turn out better and better.

    Rotated boxes:

There are several things you need to go over here, but don't worry, the exercise is quite difficult for this level and it's not supposed to turn out right at first.

However, there are a couple of indications that you have not finished completing, the first is that some corners are missing and the second is that the part of the boxes that should have been shaded has not been shaded. Because of this I am going to have to ask you to complete the exercise and send it to me. Don't worry, you won't have to repeat it, just finish it and send me the correction.

I leave you some links so you can review the exercise and see where you have failed more specifically:

    https://drawabox.com/lesson/1/rotatedboxes/step1

    https://drawabox.com/lesson/1/rotatedboxes/step3

    Organic perspective:

In general it is quite well executed, after the 250 boxes challenge you will acquire more understanding of the space. The same thing happens with the rotated boxes exercise.

With all this, I am pleased to inform you that you are doing quite well and have almost passed the lesson, however, you will have to finish the rotated boxes exercise and send it to me, after that I will correct it again and you can move on to the 250 boxes challenge when two more give you the go-ahead. Don't despair, you really are doing great, I await your response with the corrections!! :)

    Next Steps:

Complete the rotated boxes Page and send It to me by imgur

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

Hello! I'm Kort3 and I'll be critiquing your work today. Before starting, with great regret, I tell you that I will not be able to give you the job as good, since the exercises on rotated boxes and organic perspective are missing. I will still criticize what you have, but if you want me to give you the thumbs up you will have to reply to this message with a link to the exercises. Now, let's get started!

    Lines

Overlapping lines: Many of your overlapping lines are frayed on both sides, this means that you may not be paying enough attention to the placement of the pen.

However, your lines do not wobble in most cases, which means that you perform the stroke safely, which is much more important, you just have to pay a little more attention in your next exercises.

    Ghost lines:

In this exercise you can see some wobble in the lines, but beyond normal, you're doing fine!

I take this opportunity to leave you a couple of links to explanations that I think will be very useful for you to review to do your last two exercises.

    https://drawabox.com/lesson/1/superimposedlines/wobbling

    https://drawabox.com/lesson/1/superimposedlines/fraying

    Phantom plans:

Overall, solid shots, that's all I can say.

    Ellipses:

Tables of ellipses: on the first page, some ellipses are only reviewed once, but it can be seen that later you realized your mistake and corrected it, very good! Even so, be careful not to do too many repetitions, as there are some that you have reviewed up to 4 times. Further than that, I don't see many "floating" ellipses, they tend to be connected to edges, so that's good.

Ellipses in planes: I see you trying to place them comfortably against all the edges and feel confident, however, it happens to you like in the previous exercise and you go over the ellipses too many times, which means that you are not following the rules as they are.

But don't worry too much because remember, a sure but inaccurate line > Accurate but wobbly line.

Funnels: Good funnels. Try varying the size and shape of the ellipses during warm-ups, and optionally change the degree with each ellipse.

    Boxes

Perspective drawn: nothing to add here.

    Approximate perspective: Solid boxes!

I hope my review is useful to you and having said all this, I await your response with the exercises you are missing.

Additionally, I would like you to repeat an elipses on planes sheet to make sure that you only go over the ellipse 2 or 3 times at most, always making sure to use the ghost method in each of the lines you make.

    Good luck mate!!

    Next Steps:

Remake 1 sheet of elipses in planes and finish your homework :)

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

Thank you very much for the correction, if you didn't tell me that I had it wrong I would never have noticed. I'm going to do the 250 boxes challenge and I'll continue with the warm-ups as you told me, I hope it goes very well for you ^^

Sakura Pigma Microns

Sakura Pigma Microns

A lot of my students use these. The last time I used them was when I was in high school, and at the time I felt that they dried out pretty quickly, though I may have simply been mishandling them. As with all pens, make sure you're capping them when they're not in use, and try not to apply too much pressure. You really only need to be touching the page, not mashing your pen into it.

On the flipside, they tend to be on the cheaper side of things, so if you're just getting started (beginners tend to have poor pressure control), you're probably going to destroy a few pens - going cheaper in that case is not a bad idea.

In terms of line weight, the sizes are pretty weird. 08 corresponds to 0.5mm, which is what I recommend for the drawabox lessons, whereas 05 corresponds to 0.45mm, which is pretty close and can also be used.
