Overall very good job, the only thing i would like to mention is that there isnt much difference between your leaf texture analysis and the close up, and that the forms in the dissesction exercise dont look as good as the organic forms. Your arrows are really cool and so does your intersections. Good work!

    Next Steps:

I think you can move to lesson 3 and why not, start the 250 box challenge if you didnt yet

Pretty good! The organic forms with countour lines 1 could have had more variety and different angles on it but over all good work! Very good intersections!

    Next Steps:

Next up, the 250 boxes challenge and Lesson 3???? good luck!

Omg yes, i meant 250 cylinders???? and im sorry i didnt explained well although i wanted to give you a proper response. My exercise is not very good im insecure with my lines lately i would rather take a look at what uncomfortable drew for the lesson

Hello. So only recently Ive noticed your lesson 2 doesnt have a review yet so im looking forward on that.

Here youve done better this time (please dont misunderstand im not very good at ellipses either) but i still dont see the minor axis of the ellipses as correct. Heres an example, the minor axis is with orange.

https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=1KyD3IJ0vcO-bUFnsPmDoJ66P3dPMf7zs. The minor axis indicate the orientation of the ellipse and i dont see that on the branches page, theyre supposed to have a flow, like an object in space so they seem flat here. Remember to do your best to use your shoulder as uncomfortable says. If necesary consider watching the first video of his for the ellipses

I highly recommend you to begin the 250 ellipse challenge itll help you alot with perspective and orientation. Its gonna take a long time but be patient its worth it. I hope you understand what i said and good luck! Drawabox exercises are literally the best when it comes to flow confident beautiful lines i always come back to do them????

Hello. I think you should redo the leaves and branches pages. The ellipses dont seem to follow the structure and it seems rushed and as a warm up, I recommend you to do again 1 page table of ellipses, 1 page of ellipses in planes and 1 with funnels. I love how you drew the cactuses and potato plant though! Good luck!

    Next Steps:

A warm up that consist of 3 pages with funnels, ellipses in planes and table with ellipses

1 page with leaves and one with branches

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

Color and Light by James Gurney

Color and Light by James Gurney

Some of you may remember James Gurney's breathtaking work in the Dinotopia series. This is easily my favourite book on the topic of colour and light, and comes highly recommended by any artist worth their salt. While it speaks from the perspective of a traditional painter, the information in this book is invaluable for work in any medium.
