Thank you so much for taking the time to critique my work! As for the random dots that appear on my ghosted lines, the majority of them are where I missed my mark I think, but the few random tiny ones are just bleed from my pen if I remember correctly.

Thank you for pointing out how my rotated boxes were more square then ball. In matching up some of the planes (particularly the boxes in corners between boxes) I was a bit unsure about how I should proceed.

In the organic perspective exercise good call out on the lack of convergence, I'll have to address that in the future. I tried to checkout the link you posted by ScyllaStew (https://https//www.youtube.com/watch?v=mteUPdCHn4s) but it didn't work, I assume it maybe this one though Drawabox Lesson 1, Exercise 10: Organic Perspective.

    Lines

Good work on your superimposed lines, looks you understood the key concept of this exercise: drawing with confidence and avoiding wobbles. It looks like there is some minor arcing in your earlier line work, but it seems to have improved as the lessons go on, so good work with that! Your line quality seems consistent throughout the your ghosted exercises, good work this means you are likely taking your time and not rushing. On your super imposed lines though it looks like a few of them there is some fraying on the left side where you start. It's pretty minimal, and for the most part you seemed to be starting from the same point, just keep in mind that this is an indication that full care is not being used (https://d15v304a6xpq4b.cloudfront.net/lesson_images/1585f266.jpg)

    Ellipses

Good work making sure to draw through the ellipses at least 2 times. Looks like you continued to do that throughout all of the exercises related to the ellipses. Your ellipses also look uniform, and it looks like you consistently strived to touch the edge of the bounds in the tables, funnels, and planes ellipses exercises! Good work on ensuring that the ellipses in the funnels exercise are cut in half by the line (the minor axis).

    Boxes

Good work making sure that you drew through the boxes all the way (in all applicable box exercises). In your plotted perspective exercise good work properly plotting the horizontal edges back to the vanishing points, and ensuring that all vertical lines remain perpendicular to the horizon. For the rough perspective exercise it looks like you clearly understood and properly demonstrated the line extension method, and continued to place your width and height lines accordingly.

On your rotated boxes, it looks like you still need to complete the set. Although there is not enough room on your page, compare what you have to the example exercise, there should be at least two more rows of boxes (one at the top, and one at the bottom). However, for the ones you have drawn good work drawing them tightly with minimal gaps. For the most part it looks like your boxes are being rotated correctly, however a handful look like they may be converging towards the same vanishing point (https://d15v304a6xpq4b.cloudfront.net/lesson_images/d73eea49.jpg)

On the organic perspective exercise the path that was drawn is incredibly faint and hard to see in these posted images. It is sort of discernable based on how the boxes were drawn, but making that show more clearly would be helpful. Good work at keeping the foreshortening consistent in your boxes, and ensuring that sets of parallel edges are diverging as they move farther away from the viewer.

    Recap

Overall it looks like you had a clear understanding of the exercises, and demonstrated that you put time and effort into clearly understanding the key concepts. There are a few minor items that I will reiterate below, but for the most part it looks like you did a great job! There is probably a good amount of value in completing the rotated boxes (as those furthest corners can be particularly challenging, and can teach a lot by completing them) but that is up to you whether or not you complete them before moving on with the 250 box challenge!

    Minor things to fix

    - Draw a complete set of boxes for the rotated boxes exercise

    - Make path clearer in organic perspective exercise

Pentel Pocket Brush Pen

Pentel Pocket Brush Pen

This is a remarkable little pen. I'm especially fond of this one for sketching and playing around with, and it's what I used for the notorious "Mr. Monkey Business" video from Lesson 0. It's incredibly difficult to draw with (especially at first) due to how much your stroke varies based on how much pressure you apply, and how you use it - but at the same time despite this frustration, it's also incredibly fun.

Moreover, due to the challenge of its use, it teaches you a lot about the nuances of one's stroke. These are the kinds of skills that one can carry over to standard felt tip pens, as well as to digital media. Really great for doodling and just enjoying yourself.

I would not recommend this for Drawabox - we use brush pens for filling in shadow shapes, and you do not need a pen this fancy for that. If you do purchase it, save it for drawing outside of the course.
