Hi, thanks for reviewing my homework. Here my revision...

    https://imgur.com/a/PIDgkwj

Glad you remind me about the line weight line. I often forgot some details after read the instructions. You know, non-fluent english speaker problem.

It's hard to observe the complex textures. Even more, in dissections. It's hard to apply texture to round surface + use implicit transition.

I have no idea how to do the intersection. You know, I put random line to do intersection, then I just observe how that line make the intersection. I asked to the Discord's community, they gave me suggestion to imagine the object was a plane. But it's still hard!

Anyway, I noted your critique and I'll use them in next warm up. Thanks!

Hello! Congratulation for finish the first lesson in DaB!

Well, for the short, you seems understand the entire exercise of the lesson 1. You only need more practice. Most of your lines are still wobbly and arching, it mean you're probably use your wrist pivot instead shoulder pivot. It can be seen in your Ghosting Lines. Though, you show improvement in next homeworks.

For ellipses, many of them look not smooth and not confident. Take your time for doing ghosting method. But I guess, it enough.

No much issue on your VP perspective despite the lines. However, here the things that you need to remember: In Rough Perspective that have one point of VP drawn, width lines should be parallel to horizon and height lines perpendicular to horizon.

    Next Steps:

Take 2 pages if Ellipse in Plane. It'll improve your ghosting method in both lines and ellipses. Take your time to doing ghosting method

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

not bad, same as before, very good, need improvement in ellipses, fair enough, good, good, that's done well, a bit mess but fair enough, need a bit improvement, good enough, acceptable, well finished...

Well, you done the lesson 1 good enough, congratulation! I think you can go to the next step : 250 Box Challenge.

However, here the things that you need to remember: In Rough Perspective that have one point of VP drawn, width lines should be parallel to horizon and height lines perpendicular to horizon.

Take Ellipse in Plane exercise as warm-up and take all of the exercise of this lesson in future for recall what you've learned

You've finished Lesson 1, so help other people by doing some critiques. Do some critiques is a requirement for getting your 250 Box Challenge and future lessons being critiqued (at least 5 critiques that you marked as complete)

Don't be shy to show your challenge progress on DaB's Discord server. You'll get some feedback that make you imrproved.

    Good Luck!

That's good! Now, you only need to give some critiques (at least 5 critiques that marked as complete) to get your box challenge into the critique list. Giving at least 5 critiques is a requirements to get critique in 250 Box Challenge and above (read on the DaB's Discord server)

    Good luck

    It's a pleasure (and requirements) :D

Indeed, you do much better this time. But there still some things that could you Improves. Especially, your ghosted line! I noticed many wobbly line. You need more practice in this. In next step this method is crucial part to make nice boxes. Remember again to lock your wrist pivot and use your shoulder pivot.

Though that, I think It's enough. You can do next step. Take Ellipse in Plane exercise daily as warm-up. Then, in the future, do the entire exercises of this lesson for recall what have you learned ;D

    Good Luck!

    Next Steps:

You can start 250 Box Challenge after you read its instructions.

Don't be shy to show your progress in the DaB's discord server, so you know which part that you can improve. Don't worry, they're very friendly!

Hi, congratulation for making the second step of the DaB's (the first step is lesson 0 anyway, at least that what I'm thinking)

Well, for the short, you seems understand the entire exercise of the lesson 1. You only need more practice. Most of your lines are still wobbly and arching, it mean you're probably use your wrist pivot instead shoulder pivot. In Superimposed Lines exercise, there some of the lines that frayed on the both sides.

For ellipses, many of them look not smooth and not confident. Take your time for doing ghosting method. Especially in Funnels exercise, your ellipses are not divided symmetrically to the minor axis. Even more, you didn't draw those long line. My suggestion, after you draw the long line, make sure the short line have same length on the both side. You can find a large circular object, or something else to help you draw those curves/arc line...

Meanwhile the boxes, you did pretty good on those exercise. You understand how perspective and VP work! But still, I found many wobbly lines in this exercise. Remember to lock your wrist pivot and draw using shoulder pivot. Also, you doesn't have to repeat the Rotated Boxes exercise if it goes wrong. It called "grinding" and it mentioned in Lesson 0.

    Next Steps:

Since it was more than a month ago you do the exercise, here my suggestion:

    1. Draw planes on a piece of paper and put ellipse on them (1 page of Ellipse on Plane)

    2. Table of Ellipses (1 page)

    3. Funnels (1 page)

    4. Rough Perspective (1 page)

    5. Organic Perspective (1 page)

Am afraid that I ask too many revision...

Thank you. I was desperately to get any feedback because I don't know is my submission on list or not. I may have too high expectations. Well, I'll be more patient waiting critiques on my next submissions.

    Again, thank you!

Also, the diagram that you attached seems like Rotated Boxes but more complexity...

Okay, I think it's enough. You'll be better by time goes. Of course as long you take them as warm-up (as suggested). Also, do some of the exercise in this lesson for recall what you've learned. Don't be shy to show your boxes or throw some questions on DaB's Discord community.

    Good luck ;D

    Next Steps:

you can start your 250 Box Challenge. Don't forget to read the instruction!

A lot of my students use these. The last time I used them was when I was in high school, and at the time I felt that they dried out pretty quickly, though I may have simply been mishandling them. As with all pens, make sure you're capping them when they're not in use, and try not to apply too much pressure. You really only need to be touching the page, not mashing your pen into it.

In terms of line weight, the sizes are pretty weird. 08 corresponds to 0.5mm, which is what I recommend for the drawabox lessons, whereas 05 corresponds to 0.45mm, which is pretty close and can also be used.
