Hello I'll be covering your HW.

Superimposed lines: It seems you understand the concept. Good job.

Ghosted Lines: Really confident straight lines. Some do miss their intended point but good job.

Ghosted Planes: I like you encluded how these looked before drawing elipses in them. The only thing I noticed that a few are very extreme angles which in turn will be harder for elipses but sturcture and line wise these are solid.

Table of Elipses: Real effort to keep nice and tight. Instruction clearly understand, good job.

Elipses in a Plane: Surprisingly the extreme angels you kept elipses in boundries. Well done.

Funnels: Nicely spread out, nice and tight with elipses; good job.

Plotted Perspective: Beautiful solid line work; well done.

Rough Perspective: This was where things got a little messy. But your second version showed improvement with at least trying to get all the lines to the center point.

Rotated Boxes: A little rough but a very solid attempt

Organic Perspective: Shows clear understanding of directions

    Next Steps:

Okay so overall I think you are ready to move on. Just make sure to warm up a little, read the direcitons and rembember it is called a challenge for a reaosn. But I think you can do it.

Hi, I'll be reviewing your hw.

Superimposed Lines: Second part of this is better. There are quiet a lot of wobbly lines. More warming up would help I think.

Ghosted Lines: Better but still a number of wobbly lines.

Ghosted Planes: Ah, here we get our really good straight lines. This shows improvment.

Table of Elipses: Good job on these.

Elipses In Planes: I can see a real attempt to keep everyting inside the boundries. Good.

Funnels: Pretty good, one thing that could have helped was keeping these a little spread apart.

    Ploted perspective: Beautiful on these.

Rough Perspective: Not all the lines make it but they do go to the horizone line. Excellent.

Rotated Boxes: A little messy but I think you understand the concept.

Organic Perspective: Here it seems your pen is running out of ink but well done.

    Next Steps:

Two things before moving on to think about. Make sure you pen doesn't run out of ink, or press a little harder down. Second always warmup so your wobbly lines become more straight. But I will mark this as finished so move onto 250 box challenge.

Hi, I'll be reviewing your hw.

Superimposed Lines: Good job on this.

Ghosted Lines: A little messy, a little wobbly for some lines. But overall not bad. I think you got the idea here.

Ghosted Planes: You kept these before drawing elipses in them. Good. Better on lines too.

Table of Elipses: Interesting way of doing the tables but I do think you have the concept down.

Elipses In Planes: Good effort trying to keep them in the boundries. Nice.

Funnels: Shows improvment with keeping elipses inside the boundries.

Ploted perspective: Well done on this.

Rough Perspective: Although some lines are going way off, at least they're going to the horizon line. So not bad.

Rotated Boxes: Little blurred on image but I can tell this was done well.

Organic Perspective: Very sharp angles on these but good job.

    Next Steps:

I'm gonna mark this as complete. Good luck on 250 box challenge.

Hi, I'll be reviewing your hw. Also make sure when uploading images they are right side up instead of sideways.

Superimposed Lines: Love the addition of curved lines and good work on this.

Ghosted Lines: A few of these lines seemed curved. We want straight line which luckily most of these are.

Ghosted Planes: Here the lines are much straighter. But a few are falling just short of their corrisponding dot. But good work.

Table of Elipses: First one that very top row that's not in the box wasn't needed. However this is good work. Just for a note don't x anything out unless it's clearly a mistake.

Elipses In Planes: For this one I would say make sure to really ghost them and warm up. But I can tell an effort was made and you do seem to understand the concept.

Funnels: Again please don't do x's on your hw. But I think you got this concept down.

Ploted perspective: I do agree the middle line is tricky. This one I think needs a re-done.

Rough Perspective: Too many of your lines are missing the mark.

Rotated Boxes: Yeah this is definitly hard I agree.

Organic Perspective: Not bad on this.

    Next Steps:

I think given either maybe not fully reading or something, this needs a few revisions. I would like to see Ploted perspective, rough perspececitve, and roated boxes done again.

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

Hi, I'll be reviewing your hw. Make sure when uploading the images are right side up.

Superimposed Lines: A few of you lines have fraying on both ends. Not all of them, but I did notice. Always make sure to start from your intital dot. The good news is the lines are straight and most of these are solid.

Ghosted Lines: Some of the lines do miss the dots but these are straight and solid. Well done.

Ghosted Planes: I love that you included the original ghosted planes before drawing elipses in them. As for how they are, a small number of lines are not quiet making it but most of them are. So good job.

Table of Elipses: Beautiful and solid tables. Well done.

Elipses In Planes: This one was a little rough. Either your elipses were a little short of the mark or breaking out of the boundries of your lines. But I can tell you seem to get this. A word of advice really ghost the elipses before making that first stroke.

Funnels: Here the elipses are tighter but the only thing is make sure the funnels are a little more spaced out. Some of them are running into each other. But good work.

Ploted perspective: Beautiful solid black lines. Wonderful.

Rough Perspective: Well done. i can tell in your second one it got better so good work.

Rotated Boxes: This one is a bit more square then like a sphere but looking at it there is roation of the boxes.

Organic Perspective: I see you managed to do well in this too.

    Next Steps:

Final thoughts. The rotated box sphere was probably the weakest. So when moving on just make sure to warm up with the 250 box challenge. It will be tough but I'm sure you can do it. I will make this lesson as completed.

Hi, I'll be reviewing your hw.

Superimposed Lines: Good work. Make sure you pen doesn't smear but you have strong lines, no wobblying going on.

Ghosted Lines: This part of the hw is missing

Ghosted Planes: As far as I can tell you seem to understand this concept. Well done.

Table of Elipses: I can tell you are drawing through the elipses and making an effort to try to fit everything in. However you are missing another table. The assingment says you need two pages, not one.

Elipses In Planes: Other than a few, most of your elpises are succesffully touching all ends of the boxes like they should. Well done.

Funnels: This part is compltetly missing.

Ploted perspective: This part is missing as well.

Rough Perspective: You only have one of these. You need two pages.

Rotated Boxes: This is completely missing

Organic Perspective: You only have one page of this. You need two.

My advice fully read how many pages you need of each and make when uploading you have all of the pictures together.

    Next Steps:

Please re-read how many of each page you need and try again where you need to do more than one.

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

First thanks for those encouraging words and that fact that many others had to go through the pain of revision after revision like me, especially this lesson. Also I am encouraged that I can do this as you are saying that I have the ability to do this it's just forgetting some things is making it harder and not showing what I truely know and understand.

I will add some of your links don't work. In point 2 for the heres that are highlited, I get safari (Browser I'm using), can't open the pages. But luckily I know where I went wrong as that was covered and reviewed by Elodin and another where I saw what went wrong.

That said although I am waiting for Elodin's critiuqe, I have already done a second revision per his request. I have to say I was a total nervous wreck doing it and it looks ugly in terms of trying to show what i know: https://imgur.com/a/h9nBDgC

Here is the link for second part of the revison but I'm a total nervous wreck. This looks ugly and I fear I didn't pass even though I tried to remember everything including a halfway point to show at least some of what was said was applied: https://imgur.com/a/h9nBDgC

Staedtler Pigment Liners

Staedtler Pigment Liners

These are what I use when doing these exercises. They usually run somewhere in the middle of the price/quality range, and are often sold in sets of different line weights - remember that for the Drawabox lessons, we only really use the 0.5s, so try and find sets that sell only one size.

Alternatively, if at all possible, going to an art supply store and buying the pens in person is often better because they'll generally sell them individually and allow you to test them out before you buy (to weed out any duds).
