Hey there! Altheia, you're doing a great job. There are some areas where you can improve:

    • Superimposed Lines: They are confident and have less fraying at both ends. Try to use your shoulder more and experiment with different speeds to draw. See which one suits you best.

    • Ghosted Lines: They are also confident, but the issue is undershooting. Try to ghost ahead of the endpoint and stop at the endpoint. There is improvement from ghosted lines to ghosted planes, which is great.

    • Ellipses: Your ellipses are confident and clean but lack a bit of accuracy. Try to ghost more and experiment with drawing them at different angles you're comfortable with. Also, try to improve accuracy in ellipses within ghosted planes.

    • Funnels: They look great, keep up the good work!

    • Plotted Perspective: Nicely done! You've understood the two-point perspective, and the hatching is also well executed.

    • Rough Perspective: You've done a great job and understood the one-point perspective. However, the lines are a bit wobbly, so try using the ghosting method here.

    • Rotated Boxes: You have understood the rotation of boxes, but try rotating them more and adding some extra boxes. Overall, well done!

    • Organic Perspective: Some of the boxes have diverging lines, meaning they aren't converging at a vanishing point. Try to make them converge. There are only a few boxes with this issue, so don't worry too much.

Overall, your work is impressive. Remember, we all make mistakes and learn from them. It's a process that takes time. When drawing, don't stress and relax. Stay consistent and enjoy the journey!

    Next Steps:

The next step will be the 250 boxes challenge and also submit the 50% Rule drawings.

Hey there! You've done a great job, but there are some areas where you can improve.

    • Superimposed Lines: Your lines are better and have less fraying. Every line has its purpose.

    • Ghosted Lines: They are confident and better, but some of them are overshooting. Try to focus on the endpoint, lift the pen at the endpoint, and ghost more.

    • Ghosted Planes: They are impressive and confident lines, but there is a little overshooting of the lines.

    • Ellipses: Your ellipses are confident and you have overlapped them more than 2 times, which is good. But they lack a minor accuracy, so try to ghost more. The same goes for ellipses in ghosted planes.

    • Funnels: They are great, and there's nothing much about it.

    • Plotted Perspective: You did a great job and have put your knowledge to work. You have a better understanding of how vanishing points work, but you have uploaded only one page.

    • Rough Perspective: Your boxes are good, but some of the lines are a bit wobbly. Feel free to rotate the page and ghost more to draw a straight line.

    • Rotated Boxes: They are great, but the boxes in between can be rotated more. So try to watch the video and understand the concept.

    • Organic Perspective: They are impressive, but some of the boxes and their lines do not converge at the vanishing point. Instead of converging, they are parallel or diverging. So try to make them converge at the vanishing point.

Overall, you did a great job. Feel free to make mistakes and learn from them. It is a journey, so stay consistent and enjoy the journey.

    Next Steps:

Do these exercises as warmup and the next step is the 250 box challenge. Also, submit the 50 % Rule Drawing and Plotted Perspective Page 2

Hey there, Arookun! You did a great job, but there are areas where you could improve.

•Superimposed Lines. You have put your effort into controlling the fraying of lines. But the medium and longer lines are a bit curved at the end. To fix this try to curve the end opposite so it turns out straight.

    • Ghosted Lines. The lines are better but a little curved and overshooting is seen. So try to focus on the endpoint and lift the pen at the endpoint.

    • Ghosted Planes. The lines are better than the ghosted lines. You did a great job.

•Ellipses. Your ellipses are impressive and confident. You have to improve the accuracy a little bit by ghosting more. Same with the funnel you did a good job.

•Plotted Perspective. You have put your knowledge to work and it was impressive.

•Rough Perspective. The lines are a bit wobbly, feel free to rotate the page. You did a great job.

•Rotated Pages. You’ve understood the concept of rotation of boxes and the end boxes can be rotated a bit more but still, you did the job.

•Organic Perspective. You have drawn the boxes well. But as beginners, we have to draw the boxes with immediate convergence and you have drawn in static convergence. But still, they are great.

If You are an Indian like me then welcome to Drawabox.

Overall you have improved throughout the lesson and did a great job. It is a journey we will make mistakes and learn from them. Stay Consistent and Happy Journey!

Do these exercises as warmups and the next step is the 250 Boxes challenge. Submit 50%Rule drawings.

Hey there! Meykidta, your work is impressive and clean.

But Upload the complete lesson 1 after this.

•Superimposed lines are better, and have less fraying at both ends. They are controlled lines.

•Ghosted Lines and Ghosted Planes are good. If have a problem with under or overshoot try to look at the endpoint and draw the line. Lift the pen at the endpoint. Try to Ghost more to increase accuracy.

•Ellipses are also good and confident, in improving accuracy try to ghost more. Same with ellipses in planes.

•Funnels are impressive and nothing much about it.

•Plotted Perspective. You did a great job and have a better understanding of boxes.

•Rough Perspective. Some of the lines are wobbly so try to use the ghosting method and feel free to rotate the page.

•Rotated Boxes are also good and have a better understanding of the rotation of boxes.

•Organic Perspective. Boxes are better but some have parallel or diverging lines instead of converging towards the VP.

•You have wobbly line in some exercise so try to ghost more and use your shoulder to improve.

Overall you did an impressive job. We tend to make mistakes and learn from them. It is a journey, make mistakes and learn from them. Also, Stay Consistent and Happy Journey!

    Next Steps:

The next step would be 250 boxes challenge and do these exercise as warmup and Submit 50 %Rule Drawings

Steven Zapata's Secrets of Shading

Steven Zapata's Secrets of Shading

Some of you will have noticed that Drawabox doesn't teach shading at all. Rather, we focus on the understanding of the spatial relationships between the form we're drawing, which feeds into how one might go about applying shading. When it comes time to learn about shading though, you're going to want to learn it from Steven Zapata, hands down.

Take a look at his portfolio, and you'll immediately see why.
