I'm not quite grasping how to apply explicit detail to fur and feather across the body. I understand, to dumb it down a little. It's the shadows, but I'm not quite understanding how to apply it, if that makes sense?

Sorry about the double reply, I know you are busy, one note I meant to ask about and/or clarify. The page with the ellipse of the plant drawing was the border of the inside of the plant the leaves are meant to wrap around the outside of that ellipse border, with that being said I wanted to clarify whether I need to wrap the form more tightly around that ellipse or if I needed to tackle that problem a different way altogether?
I revisited the leaves demo and reading in lesson 3. Also, there are 2 pages because I accidentally drew a plant thinking it was a leaf, and I completely messed up the starting construction of a leaf. So, I have 2 more leaves I drew on the back of my initial page to make up for those issues.
Stan Prokopenko's had been teaching figure drawing as far back as I can remember, even when I was just a regular student myself. It's safe to say that when it comes to figure drawing, his tutelage is among the best.
