    Oh DANG this is good.

I have no complaints, your lines and boxes are extremely accurate and confident also your ellipses are good too. Every line was nicely done!

    Next Steps:

250 box challenge. Maybe help the community by critiquing others on their work wink wink -here is a wonderful guideline https://pastebin.com/dYnFt9PQ

Good work, but there's only two thing I would nit pick.

    1. In rotated boxes some of the boxes aren't rotating, two different boxes in the same axis go towards the same vanishing point

    2. In organic perspective the lines sometimes go parallel or even diverges from each other. Just remember that those lines converge at one vanishing point, so they can't be parallel or divergent. This is a small thing that you should be aware about and its not a deal breaker.

Overall very wonderful work! Good luck on 250 box challenge :)

    Next Steps:

250 box challenge. Don't forget to warm up with these exercises while you do the challenge to keep your skills sharp!

Cleo really said it well, good work! The only thing I would add is that in the rotated boxes each quarter 9 boxes. But it seems like you understand the exercise so just remeber to look at the examples uncomfortable gives to us each lesson.

Good luck on the 250 box challenge :)

    Next Steps:

250 box challenge, and don't forget to come back to these exercises as warm ups to keep your drawing skills sharp!

Good work, the only thing I would keep in mind "On rough perspective, width lines should be parallel to horizon and height lines perpendicular to horizon."(drawabox critique guide). But this is a small detail. You did a good job.

ps I just checked that sometimes your lines get wobbly especially on boxes, so remember to focus on straight strong confident lines.

250 box challenge. Warm up 10-15 minutes with exercises from lesson 1 to keep your blade sharp!

Overall its good work, your lines are smooth and confident. I don't really know what to say but good luck on the 250 box challenge.

    Lines

Really wobbly especially in the boxes, DRAW CONFIDENTLY. Straight strong lines first then work on accuracy

    Ellipses

Also incredibly wobbly(refer back to lines) and sometimes in the funnel and plane exercise you drew on loop for your elipses. "Ellipses must be drawn through ellipses 2 to 3 times, (2 times preferably)"(drawabox critique guide).

    Boxes

Same issue with lines, however your rotated boxes exercise is good. Also in organic perspective the beginning boxes are way too small, slowly increase the size otherwise the scale is thrown out of order.

    Overall

Unfortunately you need to redo lesson 1 again, lesson 1 is to encourage confident strong lines and it seems like this isn't there.

Cool thanks for the quick reply(~30 minutes) I think of what I'll do is a mix of fun art and giving feedback for a week before I take on lesson 2. And I'll definitely check out the discord server!

    Cheers

Besides having some wobbly ellipses(remember to focus on confidence then worry about accuracy) your work is good.

Real good stuff you got :)

    Lines

Holy crap your lines are like perfect, seriously they're soooo good

    Ellipses

Your ellipses are incredibly wobbly, remember to focus on confidence rather than making it look like ellipses. Revisit ellipses again-especially table of ellipses

    Boxes

Overall good, there's some wobble in the rough perspective so make sure you're having confident lines. No big issue though

    Overall

Ellipses need to be fix asap otherwise everything is good

    Next Steps:

Table of ellipses-focus on smooth confident lines first and worry about accuracy later. When you have smooth ellipses then you're all good to go to 250 box challenge. Good work!

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

    Lines

In the ghosted lines you overshoot multiple times and this is also seen in the ghosted planes exercies, try lifting your pen when you reach your endpoint. There's also some wobbliness in your lines particularly in the ghosted planes exercise, and this is shown particularly in the organic, I'm guessing that since you focus on accuracy you lost confidence. Focus on confidence first I rather have strong solid lines that overshoot in rough perspective than shaky lines in organic perspective

    Ellipses

Your ellipses are very good, they're confident and smooth, ngl kinda jealous

    Boxes

Most of the issues are described in lines. In rotated boxes you drew one too many boxes on the horizontal and vertical axis so it kinda looks stretched out(without it the rotated boxes exercise is good)

    Overall

Good work, just remember to focus on confidence even if it means overshooting your lines

    Next Steps:

250 box challenge, warmup each session with some ghosted lines and you'll be perfect. Keep it up!!

Drawabox-Tested Fineliners (Pack of 10, $17.50 USD)

Let's be real here for a second: fineliners can get pricey. It varies from brand to brand, store to store, and country to country, but good fineliners like the Staedtler Pigment Liner (my personal brand favourite) can cost an arm and a leg. I remember finding them being sold individually at a Michael's for $4-$5 each. That's highway robbery right there.

Now, we're not a big company ourselves or anything, but we have been in a position to periodically import large batches of pens that we've sourced ourselves - using the wholesale route to keep costs down, and then to split the savings between getting pens to you for cheaper, and setting some aside to one day produce our own.

These pens are each hand-tested (on a little card we include in the package) to avoid sending out any duds (another problem with pens sold in stores). We also checked out a handful of different options before settling on this supplier - mainly looking for pens that were as close to the Staedtler Pigment Liner. If I'm being honest, I think these might even perform a little better, at least for our use case in this course.

We've also tested their longevity. We've found that if we're reasonably gentle with them, we can get through all of Lesson 1, and halfway through the box challenge. We actually had ScyllaStew test them while recording realtime videos of her working through the lesson work, which you can check out here, along with a variety of reviews of other brands.

Now, I will say this - we're only really in a position to make this an attractive offer for those in the continental United States (where we can offer shipping for free). We do ship internationally, but between the shipping prices and shipping times, it's probably not the best offer you can find - though this may depend. We also straight up can't ship to the UK, thanks to some fairly new restrictions they've put into place relating to their Brexit transition. I know that's a bummer - I'm Canadian myself - but hopefully one day we can expand things more meaningfully to the rest of the world.
