Your work is pretty good your lines are very clean I would however suggest that you work on ellipses just a bit more as some of them seem to taper a bit but overall I feel your ready to move on

    Next Steps:

I suggest you try tackling the 250 box challenge in order to gain a better grasp of 3D space and work a bit more on ellipses

Lines: Your super imposed lines have fraying on both ends. The line should never fray on the starting dot. The student should place the pen carefully at the beginning of each line so this does not happen, The lines on the ghosted lines and ghosted planes arc a little, this might be because you are not using your shoulder enough, but if you are using your shoulder enough, i suggest arcing at the opposite direction

Elipses: I noticed that the elipses are very wobbly, i think this is because you are prioritizing accuracy over confidence, causing unconfident and rough elipses, also you forgot your funnel excersize.

Boxes: On the rotated boxes, some boxes are not rotating. On plotted perspective, the width lines should be parallel to the horizon line and the height lines should be perpendicular to horizon, here the lines also arc and wobble.

A huge problem that i am seeing in your work is that you are not that confident in drawing your lines and elipses. Yout lines arc and wobble a lot and your elipses are incredibly wobbly.

I recommend for the lines and eclipses is that when you ghost them, do it slowly, make sure your brain is warmed up to make the mark, and when you think you are ready, you execute it swiftly and dont think that much about your execution, even if the execution is not that accurate, dont worry, its fine as long as the line or elipse is confident. The goal of this part of the course is to improve your confidence in making marks, as long as you practice on confidence, accuracy and speed will come.

I am going to request revisions of all the exercises, since they all suffer from a lack of confidence.

    Next Steps:

Repeat all the exercises in lesson one. Remember, confidence over accuracy.

Your material is not right and you only submitted one page, that's not a good shot either. Please find yourself a good pen and try it again.

    Next Steps:

Partial lesson submission, wrong material, bad shot.

Hello, congrats on completing lesson 1! I'll be reviewing your work.

    Lines

Superimposed lines look good. Lines largely maintain a consistent trajectory. Lines are also fairly straight and confidently drawn. Ghosted lines are well done. Looks like you hesitate towards the end. Try maintain a confident stroke through the whole line. Ghosted planes are pretty good. You aren't plotting the beginning and end point of each line. I recommend to do this so you can employ the ghosting method.

    Ellipses

Tables of ellipses look okay. There are some gaps in ellipses, ideally the ellipses should fit snugly next to each other. Some ellipses have a bit of wobble. Make sure you use a confident stroke and ghost each ellipse carefully. Ellipses in planes are pretty good. Ellipses are nice, round and confidently drawn. Funnels are decent. Some ellipses have gaps in them. Again, make sure they fit snugly within the funnel and touch each other. For the most part, ellipses are alligned to the minor axis.

    Boxes

Plotted perspective is good, no comments here. Rough perspective is good aswell. Horizontals are largely parallel and verticals are largely perpendicular to the horizon line. Linework is pretty good but you do have the occasional wobble. I also see a repeating line - never do this. No matter how off a line is, never redo it. Rotated boxes is a good attempt. The boxes aren't rotating enough thus creating a more boxy shape. Organic perspective is good. Both pages convey the correct illusion - boxes get smaller as they get farther from the viewer and vice versa.

Overall, your work is coming along well. Practice 2-3 of these exercises for 10-15 mins per day. Good luck on the 250 box challenge!

Ellipse Master Template

Ellipse Master Template

This recommendation is really just for those of you who've reached lesson 6 and onwards.

I haven't found the actual brand you buy to matter much, so you may want to shop around. This one is a "master" template, which will give you a broad range of ellipse degrees and sizes (this one ranges between 0.25 inches and 1.5 inches), and is a good place to start. You may end up finding that this range limits the kinds of ellipses you draw, forcing you to work within those bounds, but it may still be worth it as full sets of ellipse guides can run you quite a bit more, simply due to the sizes and degrees that need to be covered.

No matter which brand of ellipse guide you decide to pick up, make sure they have little markings for the minor axes.
