    Hey,

Starting with your lines, you're mostly doing a good job, though they arched from time to time: Arched lines usually means you arent using your shoulders.

    Ellipses

Ellipses are good. There are instances where it wobbles but not alot which means you are pioritizing accuracy over confidence. Although keep in mind that in ellipses as well as lines you should try to do them as confident as you can, don't hesitate in sacrificing accuracy to get them smoother and more confident. Other than that looking pretty good.

    Boxes

    Your rotated box are great.

On organic perspective your boxes have perspective issues but you'll work on them on the box challenge, so no worries.

    Next Steps:

You did great, everything was well. Keep working on using your shoulder in this exercises, it may be uncomfortable but the practice would help build confidence in your lines. You can proceed with the 250 box challenge.

    Hey there,

    Lines

Superimposed Lines - Fraying on both ends. The line should never fray on the starting dot. Remember that you should place the pen carefully at the beginning of each line so this does not happen.

    https://d15v304a6xpq4b.cloudfront.net/lesson_images/1585f266.jpg

Ghosted Lines - Lines are arching which could possibly mean you didnt ghost enough times or you are not using your shoulder. It can happen while using the shoulder too however, and in this case it can be fixed by trying to arch consciously to the opposite direction.

    Ellipses

Tables of Ellipses - Ellipses must be drawn through ellipses 2 to 3 times. It looks like you are prioritizing confidence tho over accuracy which is a good thing.

    https://d15v304a6xpq4b.cloudfront.net/lesson_images/a76a8906.jpg

Ellipses in Planes - Same with tables of ellipses. Whenever you practice this lessons try making the planes bend a little, be playful with it; this would help with understanding perspective when it comes to making ellipses in certain scenarious

Funnels - The minor axis cuts them in half, they are tightly packed together and look confident.

    Boxes

    Plotted Perspective - Alright!

Rough Perspective - On rough perspective, the width of the lines should be parallel to horizon and height lines perpendicular to horizon.

Rotated Boxes - On rotated boxes, corners between boxes must be kept close. Most of your boxes are either too close or too far.

    https://d15v304a6xpq4b.cloudfront.net/lesson_images/9a16c189.jpg

Some of the boxes aren't rotating.

    https://d15v304a6xpq4b.cloudfront.net/lesson_images/d73eea49.jpg).

Organic Perspective - There are instances where you corrected your lines. No matter how off a line is, a you should never repeat it, they should kept the line as it if were correct and move on. Other than this tho good work on organic perspective

    Next Steps:

Keep practicing your lines. Take your time, keep what i said in mind and try to apply it in practice. Ive noticed an improvement once you reached organic perspective. It is up to you and it would be good if you repeat rotated box although i recommend you redoing superimposed lines. Remember to use shoulders, plot your dot, ghost and not rush. 250 box challenge will help you with improving all this aspects. Feel free to ask in discord for advice and if you redo your rotated box feel free to ping me @milkypotato in discord; ill look into it. Good luck and have fun! :D

    Hey there,

    Lines

Ghosted Lines - Lines bend a little instead of making a straight line. This is could be due to not ghosting enough or not using your shoulders to make lines. If you are using your shoulder and still arching it can be fixed by trying to arch consciously to the opposite direction

Superimposed Lines- In some lines especially the longer ones, it looks like you didnt take the time to place dots in the beginning to avoid fraying in both sides.

    Ellipses

Tables of Ellipses - Ellipses must be drawn through ellipses 2 to 3 times, in some ellipses it was more than this however other than this there is good confidence in your ellipses line work https://d15v304a6xpq4b.cloudfront.net/lesson_images/a76a8906.jpg

Ellipses in Planes - Good! Its great that you are not sacrificing confidence over accuracy.

Funnels - The minor axis cuts them in half, they are tightly packed together and look confident. Nice!

    Boxes

    Plotted Perspective - Alright!

Rough Perspective - I can see you tried to correct your mark. However, this is something that is not advised, try not to correct your marks, no matter how off they are.

Rotated Boxes - Some of the box rotation are pretty good but there are some mistakes. I believe one of the mistake has been not properly aligning the front edges of the boxes , https://d15v304a6xpq4b.cloudfront.net/lesson_images/9a16c189.jpg. Some are rotated too much because the corners between boxes are far apart; it must be kept close

    Organic Perspective - Good job!

    Next Steps:

Keep practicing your line work, dont forget to draw from your shoulder because this will significantly improve the way your lines are drawn. The 250 boxes will surely help you improved your line work. Proceed with 250 box challenge and dont rush it, take your time; plan and evaluate every boxes you do every pages. Remember you can ask for advice on the discord channel. Have fun and good luck :D

    Hey there,

    Lines

Superimposed Lines - Lines are smooth and confident, there are some bowing tho in longer lines; this can be due to not using shoulders.

    Ghosted Lines - Looks great!

    Ellipses

Tables of Ellipses - Ellipses are well done, they are confident, not overlapping and are kept within bounds.

Ellipses in Planes - Looks great, its good that you prioritize confidence over accuracy

Funnels - The minor axis cuts them in half, they are tightly packed together and look confident.

    Boxes

    Plotted Perspective - Alright!

    Rough Perspective - Looking good!

Rotated Boxes - Amazing job on this one

    Organic Perspective - Good job!

    Next Steps:

You did great, everything was well. You can proceed with the 250 box challenge. After seeing your rotated box and organic perspective, this would be a piece of cake for you :D

    Hey there,

    Lines

Superimposed Lines - Looks great however there are some bowing which usually means you arent using shoulders.

Ghosted Lines - There are instances where your line arches. Same with superimposed lines, it is possible you are not using your shoulders.

Ghosted Planes - Looks good, lines here were confident.

    Ellipses

Tables of Ellipses - Ellipses look nice, they dont overlap and it is kept within the boundry.

Ellipses in Planes - Some ellipses has wobble, this usually happens when you focus on accuracy on keeping the ellipses inside of the planes. Keep in mind its better to have confidence than accuracy

Funnels - The line is there so that the ellipses are symetrical and it is in your drawing. Good job

    Boxes

Plotted Perspective - Good job on this one.

Rough Perspective - Im not sure if you corrected your lines or just added line weight but it was not accuracte. If you did try to correct your lines it is advicable not to do this. Just keep it as is and move on.

Rotated Boxes - Looks good, the rotations on some of the boxes are not consistent however i wouldnt worry about this right now

Organic Perspective - Looks good, some problems with perspective but 250 box challenge will help fix that.

    Next Steps:

Overall you did great, proceed with the 250 box challenge and do not rush this. Have fun!

    Hey there,

On the line exercises, there were fraying on both ends. This usually happens when you are in a hurry, remember to place the pen carefully at the beginning of each line so it does not happen. There are wobbles in line and bowing happens especially in the longer lines; this tends to happen because of rushing, not ghosting and not using shoulder enough, take your time, no need to rush this course.

On planes, there are instances where your ellipses wobble, its better to prioritize confidence over accuracy.

On the ellipses section, your elipses improved here. Even tho some are overlapping your confidence has improved.

On rotated boxes, i recommend you adding lineweight to the front edges so it is easier to read. The rotation of the box is good however you have to keep working on lines.

Organic perspective is fine but then you repeated lines which you shouldnt, you should keep the line as it if were correct and move on

    Next Steps:

Overall good work. You seem to struggle with your confidence in lines but this is completly normal. Keep in mind about your arm when drawing lines. Using shoulders should significantly improve confidence in it. i recommend going with 250 box challenge and not rushing it. Remember you can ask for advice on the discord channel.

Pentel Pocket Brush Pen

Pentel Pocket Brush Pen

This is a remarkable little pen. Technically speaking, any brush pen of reasonable quality will do, but I'm especially fond of this one. It's incredibly difficult to draw with (especially at first) due to how much your stroke varies based on how much pressure you apply, and how you use it - but at the same time despite this frustration, it's also incredibly fun.

Moreover, due to the challenge of its use, it teaches you a lot about the nuances of one's stroke. These are the kinds of skills that one can carry over to standard felt tip pens, as well as to digital media. Really great for doodling and just enjoying yourself.
