    hello!

here are some things i would like to point out:

the proportions were off at start, which could be because of nproper construction. though it got better in the end.

i suggest you do the harder version of contour exercise to understand it better aswell.

heres some advice, pay more attention to construction phase, your are supposed to do it with pen im pretty sure, mae sre that everything is in right size and place, only then move onto detail.

    Next Steps:

one more page of contour exercise

one more try at the spider and scorpion with Only construction.

i hhope this helps! have a nice day.

lovely! its obvious that insects look great, only thing is...

i suggest you reread how the sausage forms are supposed to be drawn, to be more specific, contour lines, some of them should be thinner, some thicker.

its much better explained in exercise itself so

    Next Steps:

reread the exercise and do one more page just to be sure you memorize it well and thoroughly understand it.

    have a great day!

looks better! just keep in mind, the lines in front should be thicker than lines in back, if one line overlaps another, thicken it. good luck!

    Next Steps:

you can move onto the next lesson!

Great job! All the plants were incredibly well done! One thing is, i suggest you redo the arrows and leaf exercises. Here are some things to keep in mind:

    Arrows.

    1. Arrows should get bigger as they come closer to us, so keep them narrow at start and wider at the end to sell this point.

      1. Lines shojld be thicker at points of intersections, this is to really point out which line is in front and which is in back. When one line goes over another, it should be a bit thicker the keep it comprehensive.

      Leaves.

    1. You should experiment with twists more, try making it more dynamic, it will help you understand the form better, and how it moves and flows.

Hope this helps! Have a great day!

    Next Steps:

(Just do one more page of both the arrow and leaf exercises while keeping in mind the tips i gave and you should be good to go)

Well done on finishing lesson 3! Everything looks pretty good, all the plants are nicely done, with texture and everything. The thing is, i think your arrows could use work, here is some advice, do not squiggle the second line randomly, try to copy the first one, But, arrow should come closer to us, it should start narrow and get wider, also dont forget to use lineart and thicken lines that go over others to reaally show it is in the front. Anyway, good luck and have a nice day!

    Next Steps:

(Just do another page of arrows with tips i gave u, hope it helps)

you are so right! i am way too impatient, tried to be slower in these lessons but still, anyway, thanks for pointing it out! i will work on improving it and try not to scribble mindlessly.

good luck on your art journey aswell!

my bad, i mixed up exercise names X-X. i meant organic perspective as the fellow above thankfully mentioned. i would still recommend doing the rough perspective too, i think lines are supposed to be horizontal and vertical to viewer while in some cases you drew them slanted.

heres what you should keep in mind.

All lines that go off into the distance should converge at the vanishing point

All horizontal lines should run perfectly parallel to the horizon

All vertical lines should run perfectly perpendicular to the horizon

other than that apply y method to Organic perspective and you are good to go!

again sorry for my mistake and good luck!

    great stuff!

here are some tips to keep in mind:

    lines

you should try to be as confident with ur lines as possible, use ghosting method more to improve them.

    ellipses

same thing here, ghost several times and then draw ellipses with confident motion going through them no more than 2-3 times.

    BOXES

your boxes seem off, you should probably rewatch the video on y method. its best explained there, every exercise besides rough perspective looks good.

    Next Steps:

i believe it will be best if you get the hang of y method first, before moving onto the 250 box challange. it shouldnt have to be perfect, just try your best to do one more page of rough perspective after watching video on y method.

Rapid Viz

Rapid Viz

Rapid Viz is a book after mine own heart, and exists very much in the same spirit of the concepts that inspired Drawabox. It's all about getting your ideas down on the page, doing so quickly and clearly, so as to communicate them to others. These skills are not only critical in design, but also in the myriad of technical and STEM fields that can really benefit from having someone who can facilitate getting one person's idea across to another.

Where Drawabox focuses on developing underlying spatial thinking skills to help facilitate that kind of communication, Rapid Viz's quick and dirty approach can help students loosen up and really move past the irrelevant matters of being "perfect" or "correct", and focus instead on getting your ideas from your brain, onto the page, and into someone else's brain as efficiently as possible.
