You did good here. Straight & confident strokes, not so much fraying either. But i suggest to also add curved lines for the warm-up.

    Ellipses:

Don't draw through your ellipses more than three times. It's fine even if it turned out bad. The point is to be able to see your mistakes and learn from that. Covering it with even more circles isn't what we were supposed to do. Other than that, you did well here

    Boxes:

I see that you tend to repeat your strokes too much. Like i said before, don't worry even if the strokes doesn't connect. What you need to do is ghost the stroke until you feel it's enough, and make one confident stroke with that. No more, no less.

Considering all that, i believe you can move on to the next lesson. Congrats for finishing lesson 1

While your lines is okay, you didn't do enough to meet the required amount in your works. Use the space in your paper effectively, don't be shy to overlap the lines

And your Rotated Boxes doesn't rotate enough. I believe this might help with that; https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/368870697742630912/715669112222908466/zfr3o7xneog31.png

As for now, i will ask for some revisions. Feel free to reply.

You have quite the problem with arching in your superimposed lines. This might happen when you're too focused in the end dots. It's better to have straight lines that frays off rather than arching for now, so just shoot away your hands.

    Ellipses:

Just some wobbling, nothing to worry about. It will came off within more time you draw

    Boxes:

I see that you're having problems with perspective in your rotated boxes. This might help https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/368870697742630912/715669112222908466/zfr3o7xneog31.png

I must say good job with the line weight on that. Do try to be more subtle with it, some of it was too bold and interfering with the back lines

All in all, you're doing a good job. Congrats for finishing Lesson 1, you're free to go to the next lesson.

You did good overall. No noticeable arching either, you got the confidence for this

    Ellipses:

Not much of a problem here, just some wobbling that will come off within more time you draw

    Boxes:

Your rotated boxes came out pretty well. No problems here

Overall you're following the instructions very well. Keep it up to the next lesson.

The superimposed Lines is passable now. But i recommend you to do it orderly like the example in the lesson when you're doing it for warmups. I can pass off the funnels too, just make sure to cover it in your warmups. You're good to go, and congrats for finishing lesson 1

Sorry for replying this only now.

I think we had some miscommunication here. I had a look at your submission and what i found is 2 new table of ellipses. While it is better than the previous ones, what we asked for revision is 2 Superimposed Lines and 1 Funnels. Did you mistook the Superimposed Lines for a Table of Ellipses? I'd hate to prolong this, but we need to stick to the procedures especially this early.

K4llegro here, thank you for taking your time to critique my submission!

Your critique is very valid to me, especially that you point out my weak hatching. And i admit that while i gave my best effort at this challenge, i went too easy with the hatching and rushed it most of the time. I will make sure to not neglect any part in the next lessons!

Thank you once again and have a good day!

Hello, i will be taking a look at your lesson. Let's start, shall we?

    Lines:

In your superimposed lines, i can't find your starting lines that you need to draw with a ruler. Remember that it's important to do that so you have a solid starting lines to aim for

    Ellipses:

In your funnels, the majority of your ellipses doesn't cut through the major axis evenly. I recommend to draw the curves first and use a ruler to find the middle part of your curves so you can place your major axis easily

You had quite the wobbling in the overall. Try to draw your ellipses fast enough, it can reduce the wobbling. The rest will come off within more time you draw

Boxes : I see you're struggling to rotate your boxes in the rotated boxes exercise, this might help https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/368870697742630912/715669112222908466/zfr3o7xneog31.png

There's not much problem on your works, but i suggest that you go finish them all and upload it in one go, because we can't give you any real critique with only a few parts of the lesson

Lines : while you have quite some arching especially in the middle part of longer lines, here i can see your starting mark that you drew with a ruler. My little advice to fix that is to make sure that you draw your lines fast enough that you don't have the time to react and correct it and ended up arching. It's better to have a straight confident lines here for now even though it frays away

Funnels : you did well here. Your ellipses is cut off evenly in the middle, and most of your ellipses come out smooth.

Sorry for the late feedback, i forgor and it kinda happens. You're good to go for your next step.

Rapid Viz

Rapid Viz

Rapid Viz is a book after mine own heart, and exists very much in the same spirit of the concepts that inspired Drawabox. It's all about getting your ideas down on the page, doing so quickly and clearly, so as to communicate them to others. These skills are not only critical in design, but also in the myriad of technical and STEM fields that can really benefit from having someone who can facilitate getting one person's idea across to another.

Where Drawabox focuses on developing underlying spatial thinking skills to help facilitate that kind of communication, Rapid Viz's quick and dirty approach can help students loosen up and really move past the irrelevant matters of being "perfect" or "correct", and focus instead on getting your ideas from your brain, onto the page, and into someone else's brain as efficiently as possible.
