Hello! No worries about it, thank you so much for the time you put into checking my progress. Everything you commented on was on point, some of them were things I thought about myself, but so many others were things that didn't cross my mind! I'm sorry for not making the paper texture analysis, I really just forgot about it.

The organic arrows are a little tricky for me, because I often concentrate too much on making it big or small, but not make it into a smooth transition. I'll definitely think about it more as I do exercises like this one.

As for the dissection exercises, shadows are something I struggle with, same with the texture going around the form, but same as before, I hope I did a better job than before. I hope to hear from you again, and once again, thank you for checking my progress on the lesson. Have a wonderful day!

I have no idea what happened to the old link, but here is a new one in case the other one can't be accessed.

Thank you so much! Right now I still draw boxes as a warm up exercise cause I also noticed some of the things you said. But once again, thank you for the critique. It was very very helpful! I'll make sure to keep it in mind as I get to my next lesson. Have a wonderful day!

I'll separate my critique in sections:

    Lines

Super imposed lines have some common errors for the first page, fraying towards the end, they look a bit rough, but nothing that some warm ups can't fix in time. Your ghosted lines are pretty great. Ghosted planes however are slightly off sometimes, not quite connecting every time, but again, some warm ups won't hurt at all. Nonetheless, great first time!

    Ellipses

They once again have some trouble here and there where they escape at the Table of Ellipses, but you have drawn them correctly which is a plus. At the Funnel exercise is slightly off, the line not cutting by the middle, still, pretty good job.

    Boxes

The rough perspective is well drawn, slowly but surely while doing the exercise you can see that you picked up on it the more you drew. The rotated boxes I really like. It's a hard exercise, so you should be proud of yourself at the way it came out. Just some of them are slightly off, like pushing out of the form, as in, the corner ones. I'd say, very well drawn. Organic perspective is drawn well, not much too add.

    Overall

Fantastic work! Some Ghosted lines and maybe some funnel exercises, maybe some ellipses, should help you on your journey, but other than that, you can continue on the next challenge! Just remember the 50/50 rule, and ask if you need some pointers or help.

    Next Steps:

I'd suggest to continue to the next lesson, 250 boxes, try your best to be patient, in the ned, it will help you a lot.

I'll separate my critique in sections:

    Lines

Super imposed lines have some common errors for the first page, fraying towards the end, but you really picked up on it on the second page. Very well done. Also, the curved lines are drawn way more confidently, which is always a plus. Your ghosted lines are well drawn, alongside your chosted planes, just a few mistakes here and there, but once again, well done!

    Ellipses

Here, you did a great job, your ellipses are clean, drawn twice everywhere, the planes in the panel are drawn very snuggly inside. Only one I can see that is going outside, and very few that are too small. Your funnels are well drawn as well, just a few of them seem to not be separated on the middle.

    Boxes

Very well done here as well. The Rough Perspective is just a little off on a few lines, but they are very good nonetheless. Hope that drawing the red lines has helped you see the problem. Rotated Boxes, well done as well, you have a great sense of space. The cross hatching is great as well. The Organic perspective is very great. Not seeing major problems here.

    Overall

Fantastic work! Some Ghosted lines exercises should help you on your journey, but other than that, you can continue on the next challenge! Just remember the 50/50 rule, and ask if you need some pointers or help.

    Next Steps:

Continue with the 250 box challenge. Some warm ups here and there and you are good to go!.

Welcome to Drawabox! I'll seperate the critique here.

    Lines

Super imposed lines have some common errors for the first page, but from what I see, your second page seems to be even better than before, just the longer lines seem to fray towards the end. Really like the arching lines you did, they are very well drawn. Other than the common mistakes, these are very great! Same goes for the ghosted lines and planes, I can see a few mistakes here and there but I can see that you are gaining confidence as you draw more and more, so congrats!

    Ellipses

Very great work here, most of these ellipses are very well drawn. You are clearly comfortable with curved lines. There are few mistakes here and there, but they are very minor. There are a few ellipses that are off in Planes and Funnels, but other than that, I'd say you did a great job here.

    Boxes

Very well done here as well. I really like your Rotated Boxes exercise. They are consistent. I'd say the only problem with it is that you didn't really push on the rotated aspect, but it's visible you have an idea of space, so great job! And the cross hathichng is very well done as well. On the Rough Perspective, there are a few mistakes here and there, your line confidence seems to not be consistent here, but you made quick work of it with the Organinc perspective.

    Overall

Great work here! Just remember to plan your lines and don't forget about the 50/50 rule. You should always remember to have fun while drawing. Ask anything if you need or have questions about something. I think you can continue to the 250 box challenge, remember to read carefully what you have to do and have fun!

    Next Steps:

You can continue with the 250 box challenge.

Faber Castell PITT Artist Pens

Faber Castell PITT Artist Pens

Like the Staedtlers, these also come in a set of multiple weights - the ones we use are F. One useful thing in these sets however (if you can't find the pens individually) is that some of the sets come with a brush pen (the B size). These can be helpful in filling out big black areas.

Still, I'd recommend buying these in person if you can, at a proper art supply store. They'll generally let you buy them individually, and also test them out beforehand to weed out any duds.
