Couple things, you're doing great on the boxes, your ellipses look great too but I suggest you use the smaller constraints next time. I find it interesting that you chose to draw a new planes for your ellipses exercise but it's nothing to fault you for. I don't know what size Sketchbook you are using, I highly suggest you use A4 paper as the instructions suggest. The pressure from your pen can cause uneven lines in a SketchBook. Try to fill your work with smaller exercises, you did this fantastically with the ghosting lines method but I only see four Funnels submitted. My final critique might be an issue with your camera, either you did not complete the rough perspective homework as described correctly or the camera is not picking up the plotted lines in a different colored pen.

I hope this did not come off as harsh, I like your line work you're doing good.

    Next Steps:

I suggest you take a closer look at the example homework and try to follow it closely but not exactly.

Please re-read and complete the rough Perspective as described in this lesson. You don't have to redo the entire exercise, just the plot of lines, preferably in a different colored pen

Please redo the funnels homework as described in this lesson

I did two pages of ellipses because I figured that it would help with the boxes and the ellipses.

I also did two pages of ellipses in planes to practice the ellipses.

I also did another page of funnels also to practice ellipses

last but not least I did one page of plotted perspective to try to get the boxes better

thanks for the help, I noticed I have the nasty habit of redrawing my lines.

This is another one of those things that aren't sold through Amazon, so I don't get a commission on it - but it's just too good to leave out. PureRef is a fantastic piece of software that is both Windows and Mac compatible. It's used for collecting reference and compiling them into a moodboard. You can move them around freely, have them automatically arranged, zoom in/out and even scale/flip/rotate images as you please. If needed, you can also add little text notes.

When starting on a project, I'll often open it up and start dragging reference images off the internet onto the board. When I'm done, I'll save out a '.pur' file, which embeds all the images. They can get pretty big, but are way more convenient than hauling around folders full of separate images.

Did I mention you can get it for free? The developer allows you to pay whatever amount you want for it. They recommend $5, but they'll allow you to take it for nothing. Really though, with software this versatile and polished, you really should throw them a few bucks if you pick it up. It's more than worth it.
