Hi Fruitninjadragon. First of all: Congratulation on finishing the first lesson.

My native language isn't english, but I will try my best.

    Lines

Your superimposed lines are quite good. Some of your ghosted lines have a wobble in them, but nothing that wouldn't go away with practice. The same goes for the ghosted planes. Remember to ghost every line a few times from the shoulder before drawing it and don't rush it. Learning takes time, and that's ok.

    Ellipses

The Tables of Ellipses are really good! But I see some of the ellipses drawn 3 to 4 times. It should be drawn 2 to 3, preferably 2 times. If your ellipses go of rail, leave it like that. Part of the exercice is to accept mistakes and inaccuracies. They are wobbly too. Same thing with the lines. Don't be so carefull. By drawing with confidence you learn more, than with slow careful strokes.

For the funnels exercice: Your ellipses have all a simmilar width to them. Try drawing thinner ones to the middle and wider ones to the outside.

    Boxes

Your boxes in rough perspective are good. Some of the boxes far away from the VP are a bit of, but thats normal. Accuracy comes with practice, nothing to worry about. You drew over some lines to correct them. Don't do that in this exercice. If it's off it is. Try to accept mistakes and move on. I know it's not easy, but you will learn far more.

The boxes in rotated boxes are indeed all boxes. ;) Try to keep the boxes closer together. You guess too much. If you keep the distance between the edges of the boxes really small, you can use the boxes next to the one you are drawing as a reference and you don't have to guess so much.

Organic perspective has the same problem as before. Draw confident lines and accept mistakes. The vps on thease boxes are mostly on point though! Good job!

All in all, I would recoment you doing ghosted lines and ellipses as warmup for upcoming lessons. I mark the lesson as complete. Next up is the 250 boxes challenge. Be confident in your lines and keep your strength in mind. Keep up the good work!

Thank you so much for your kind words! I was drowning in self doubt especially for the organic boxes. I will take your words to heart and try to have more confidence not only in my lines but in my work in general.

I was working in a bubble so far and I'm a harsh critique to myself. I'm so glad I found this course.

Anyway thanks for your time! It was really helpful!

Pentel Pocket Brush Pen

Pentel Pocket Brush Pen

This is a remarkable little pen. Technically speaking, any brush pen of reasonable quality will do, but I'm especially fond of this one. It's incredibly difficult to draw with (especially at first) due to how much your stroke varies based on how much pressure you apply, and how you use it - but at the same time despite this frustration, it's also incredibly fun.

Moreover, due to the challenge of its use, it teaches you a lot about the nuances of one's stroke. These are the kinds of skills that one can carry over to standard felt tip pens, as well as to digital media. Really great for doodling and just enjoying yourself.
