Okay, let's have a look here...

So your super imposed lines do show a nice variety of lengths and you've even some attempts at doing some super imposed arcs! I would say though that the fraying at both ends is VERY noticable. I would recommend doing another page of these but remeber to

    1. Take a moment to reset and place your pen at the orgional starting point before making the next stroke

    2. Rotate the page so that you can make your marks with your SHOULDER, not your elbow. (Which seems to be the case based on how wibbly they are. I would reccomend roating the page so that your making the mark at a 45 degree angle away from you. Its not something that's going to feel natural to do at first but boy does it help!

Your ghosted lines are perfect! No comments needed here. And this is a reccurring theme throughout the rest of your ellipis work. (Although your elipises in planes falter a bit. Again make sure you freeze your elbow and wist and let the shoulder do the work.)

I'm unfortunately not going to give any critque on the perspective work, since its something I'm still understanding myself but the marksmanship on these boxes atleast feels solid.

    Next Steps:

    • 1 Page of Superimposed LInes

    • 1 Page of Elipises in Planes

Would you say that the sticking with your initial drawing poloicy should be applied to 50% work?

    Right, here you go! https://imgur.com/a/cWUIv1R

Well firstly, thank you and hello there Rob.

For rough perspective I do not have a different coloured pen and so I was hoping that the teaching assistant would take the burdern of checking my accuracy. But sure, I actually have a blank set of frames ready to go if you want me to do another sheet. (Suppose I started an execerise one night and never finished it heheheheh.)

And yes, the quality of my work admittedly does faulter towards the end because by that point its 11 o'clock at night and I'm just forcing myself to stop procrastinating and get it done.

I could have sworn I wasn't hesitating so much though. And there were a few times that looked like I did mutiple attempts but really I was ghosting and my pen brushed the page a little. (Not saying that was always the case.)

So warm up with ghosted planes?

I'll keep this in mind and get one of each to see how they compare.

    Same to you, doodlesofdishonour!

So when talking about stretches, what kind fo you recommend?

Staedtler Pigment Liners

Staedtler Pigment Liners

These are what I use when doing these exercises. They usually run somewhere in the middle of the price/quality range, and are often sold in sets of different line weights - remember that for the Drawabox lessons, we only really use the 0.5s, so try and find sets that sell only one size.

Alternatively, if at all possible, going to an art supply store and buying the pens in person is often better because they'll generally sell them individually and allow you to test them out before you buy (to weed out any duds).
