First about the tables of ellipses, great work, there is a lot of improvement between the first and the second paper. In the first one there is a lot of space between the individual ellipses but in the second paper you corrected that. I think they look pretty good, maybe just try more diversity like with the planes, You can do more andgles, sizes. If you are not sure how, look around you, there will be plenty of ellipses surely.

With the ellipses in the planes, your inner circle sometimes doesn´t touch the plane at all, I think in this case, you can try doing like maybe 1 or 2 more rounds but try to connect them. Some of them are correct and look good.

There is one major problem with the funnels I see and its that your ellipses doesnt change much, yes the first one is thinner but the rest kinda looks the same size, try to do them more and more open/ wide. Also focus more on the center line and draw the rest of the ellipse depending on the center, so the ellipses can be more symmetrical.

Don´t give up, there is few things you can do better, but give it time, focus on the next tasks and everything will get better as well. Lookin forward for your next exercises.

Hi, I will try to review your work a little and also I am no proffesional.

With the superimposed lines, I think focus more on the long whole arm movement and less on the lenght of the line, I mean it doesnt really matter if you end up more far away, but that your lines are more straight and less wobbly. But this will get better with practise.

About the ghosted lines and ghosted planes, some of them look quite good, some of them needs more work, thats normal, but I would recommend to do those lines more loosely and that can be aplied to the ghosting as well. With the planes I think you should try more angles, you are limiting yourself a bit there with almost just horizontal and vertical planes, now it doesnt really matter what you will end up if its still a plane so experiment, it will help.

Also try this one trick, put your pen on the start of the line and look at its end with your eyes, try to do the rest with your arm, I think try it first a bit faster and then try slower without losing the precision. This can help you with precision and line straightness as well.

Hi, I am looking at your work and I think it looks nice, yes there is few things that can be better, but you will get that with all the boxes coming ahead and there is a lot of improvement already.

I like how you do both the dramatic foreshortening and also the shallow one, I should myself do more of the dramatic one.

Yes, sometimes I can see your inner back lines diverge, I have the same problem, just take notice in which direction it goes and think in which direction it should rather go.

Sorry, if any of this isn´t really helpfull, I am still an amateur. Overall your boxes looks good and I think everything will almost look perfect when you will be reaching the last one.

Not a bad start, yes there is a little bit of divergence in the beginning of the longer lines and the also at the end. But still thats pretty normal I guess, just needs more practise.

Maybe I am wrong, but I feel like you should draw more with the whole arm, even for the smaller lines, that will help with the wobbliness. Also one thing thats helping me, and could help you too, is like prepare your pen at the start then aim your eyes on the final destination and let the arm to the rest.

Continue on the next excercise, everything will get better as you go on :D.

Nice work, I like your little notes there and circling the mistakes, I think I will try that too. Also if I compare the first lines and the last, there is already an improvement, so keep on working and you will get even better :D.

With the planes I did the same mistakes, like I thought the internal lines are always in the middle, but you learned from that as well. So good job.

I think overrall its promising, go on to the next excercise.

Yes, but I also need to ask, when you draw the boxes, and you refine the lines like giving them weight, do you also do it with like ghosting and then like superimposed lines? Cause I feel like I just ruin it. My guess is like doing it till it gets better, am I right? Thanks in advance.

Thank you very much! Yes, now I am going to work on the 250 boxes challenge, so I am very excited. I really appreciate your critique and I will be working on improvements.

While I have a massive library of non-instructional art books I've collected over the years, there's only a handful that are actually important to me. This is one of them - so much so that I jammed my copy into my overstuffed backpack when flying back from my parents' house just so I could have it at my apartment. My back's been sore for a week.

The reason I hold this book in such high esteem is because of how it puts the relatively new field of game art into perspective, showing how concept art really just started off as crude sketches intended to communicate ideas to storytellers, designers and 3D modelers. How all of this focus on beautiful illustrations is really secondary to the core of a concept artist's job. A real eye-opener.
