Overall, your line confidence on every exercise was very good. One thign I'd like to point out is that some of the ellipses in the table of ellipses lost their curve, which may be due to pressing too hard or going through the stroke too slowly. Try to experiment a bit with your grip and pressure to help with that.

Ideally for the rotated boxes, your leftmost and rightmost boxes should also have boxes above and below them, like the ones in the middle did. The contour of the overall structure should be like a circle. However, this is a tough exercise, so it might be good to tackle it after the 250 box challenge.

    Next Steps:

Attempt 250 box challenge, then try rotated boxes again and start lesson 2

Superimposed lines: Good, try to pay a tad bit more attention to starting on the same point each time.

Ghosted lines are overall good as well.

Your ellipses show very good line confidence, the only problems were a tad bit of overlapping.

Plotted perspective was very neat, though rough perspective could use a bit more line confidence.

The increased line weight on the foremost faces of the rotated boxes helped to make things clear.

Nice job on the Organic perspective as well.

    Overall, excellent job.

    Next Steps:

Try 250 box challenge, then lesson 2

    Greetings,

Overall the lines and planes sections are very well done, and demonstrate a good deal of line confidence. However some lines still curve at the end; try to keep all lines on a straight path.

Some of your ghosted planes for your ellipses exercises seemed to almost taper into triangles, but the ellipses still fit them well.

For the ghosted perspective exercise, the main thing I noticed was that your perspective lines farther away from the vanishing point often "undershot," not reaching the vanishing point.

    regardless, overall well done.

    Next Steps:

    250 box challenge

These are what I use when doing these exercises. They usually run somewhere in the middle of the price/quality range, and are often sold in sets of different line weights - remember that for the Drawabox lessons, we only really use the 0.5s, so try and find sets that sell only one size.

Alternatively, if at all possible, going to an art supply store and buying the pens in person is often better because they'll generally sell them individually and allow you to test them out before you buy (to weed out any duds).
