I am so sorry things got really busy during the hollidays and this ended up taking far longer than it should have. I wasn't sure if there was a time limit on these corrections but they're done now so i figure i should just send em anyway.

i hope it's okay that for one of the plant drawing corrections i used a refrence from my original submision. i just really wanted another crack at the monstera white tiger plant after re-reviewing the plant construction lesson.

nice! i think this looks a lot better. the only thing i want to mention is that the pen you used for the revision probably isn't suitable for the upcoming course materials. It's too thick, so when you continue to the 250 box challenge try using the pen you used for your original lesson 1 stuff.

    Next Steps:

i think you're ready to to move on to the 250 box challenge. just remeber to use a .5 fine liner(or ballpoint if you don't have that).

By lesson 2 though, i think they expect you to have a fine liner so keep that in mind

This community member feels the lesson should be marked as complete, and 2 others agree. The student has earned their completion badge for this lesson and should feel confident in moving onto the next lesson.

i also just want to say that this critique is being done by someone who just finshed lesson one for the first themselves so take everything with a bit of salt.

I think that your lines are really wobbly on the first assignment(super imposed lines) and while i do think that you really improve a lot by the last asignment (organic perspective) it's still think it's worth keeping in mind that commiting to a subpar, or "off", trajectory and drawing the line quickly and confidently without wobbling is more useful than second guessing yourself during execution. the planning stages with the dots is where all the stress should be.

    Next Steps:

i think that taking another shot at the superimposed lines homework could be good just to see if you're cable of drawing straigter lines now. and remember that you fraying is okay as long as the lines have a confident trajectory and as long as the fraying is hapening on just one side of the lines.

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

Proko's Drawing Basics

Drawabox isn't the be-all, end-all of drawing fundamental education. Our approach prioritizes certain concepts over others, and while we believe it do so for good reasons, ultimately it doesn't appeal to everyone. If Drawabox simply doesn't work for you, give Proko's Drawing Basics course a try - at the very least, you'll probably find it to be a hell of a lot more fun.
