Your lines for the most part look good, no wobbles, nice confident strokes.

However, it appears that you didn't draw through your ellipses 2 or 3 times the majority of the time. This is very important as it allows you to get better at them exponentially. They do look fairly smooth and even, but you're ofteb missing the edges, causing floating ellipses which is a no-no in the lessons.

Also it appears that your organic perspective pages are missing, please add those in order to get it marked as complete.

    Next Steps:

Add the organic perspective pages to get marked complete.

I'm not sure if you need to redo the ellipses exercises or if it's just a matter of making sure you draw through them 2 or 3 times going forward.

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

Looks really solid to me! The lines are definitely a little wobbly in the rough perspective exercise, but not horrible. I found that getting my arm muscles really used to a quick, confident stroke, and THEN focusing down on the accuracy helped me grow the best.

You might feel like you're slipping back into 'level one' of ghosting lines but I promise that small backslide is worth getting rid of the wobbles!

As for over or under shooting your end point, when you're ghosting, also ghost pulling your pen up away from the page exactly as you reach the end point. I still only get it perfect like 1/25th of the time, but it's SO satisfying when you do it!

Your ellipses follow the rules in what looks like your best efforts, so just make sure to keep practicing them in your warm ups and they'll be solid in no time.

    Next Steps:

Time for the 250 box challenge! Make sure to focus on making a confident mark, even if your accuracy suffers a bit for it. You'll get about a thousand chances to perfect your lines in the 250 box challenge, so don't forget your ellipses in your warm ups in the meanwhile! Best of luck.

Thanks so much for the helpful notes! Definitely want to incorporate more ellipses in my warm ups. Ghosting is also something I think I'm doing more than I actually am, yet, if that makes sense. So I'll be sure to make an effort to keep it conscious :)

Besides the extra pages (it's stated multiple times to only complete the exact number of pages; no grinding) I think this work follows along to the best of your ability. My own first attempt looks very similar, would highly recommend working on the 250 box challenge next.

    Next Steps:

Time to try the 250 challenge! ps. I found keeping 5 boxes per page a)made it easy to keep count and b) worked best for balancing decent sized boxes and filling the page up.

A lot of my students use these. The last time I used them was when I was in high school, and at the time I felt that they dried out pretty quickly, though I may have simply been mishandling them. As with all pens, make sure you're capping them when they're not in use, and try not to apply too much pressure. You really only need to be touching the page, not mashing your pen into it.

In terms of line weight, the sizes are pretty weird. 08 corresponds to 0.5mm, which is what I recommend for the drawabox lessons, whereas 05 corresponds to 0.45mm, which is pretty close and can also be used.
