Congratulations on completing lesson 1! You're showing a good understanding of the concepts explored in the first lesson, and I can see a growing comfort with drawing confident lines from your first pages to your last pages.

    Lines:

Your lines are really good, but things can get a little wobbly/scratchy when trying to construct boxes. I'd recommend focusing on ghosting your lines and drawing them confidently, the accuracy will come with time!

    Ellipses:

This is a place where I struggle too, but I'd recommend ghosting your ellipses before drawing through them twice. You're doing a great job of drawing through, which makes it easy to see that they don't always line up with each other. I feel like this is a good thing! As with the lines, the accuracy will improve with time and practice.

    Boxes:

I think you're doing a really nice job of constructing realistic boxes, but they can sometimes appear warped instead of rotated. This will surely improve dramatically over the 250 box challenge, which is where I'd advise you head from here!

Overall, great work, and congratulations again!

    Next Steps:

Head on to the 250 box challenge, good luck!

    Lines

A lot of the superimposed lines fray from the starting point and the ending point, make sure you're starting the line and drawing it towards the ending point confidently! Even if you're way off from the ending point, the starting points should all be consistent. It also looks like there are a lot of scratchy marks on the page, if you're struggling with pens going out, it might be worth having some scratch paper to keep your page clean.

    Ellipses

Many of the ellipses are only drawn through once, and some start to develop a bit of a bean shape. Focus on drawing through twice, even if you're way off, you'll be able to see how far away from your initial ellipses you're landing.

    Boxes

Your rotated boxes look great! There are quite a few wobbly lines in the organic perspective exercise and I'd suggest focusing on ghosting lines and making a clear plan for each stroke that goes on the page.

Overall, great work! I'd say head towards the 250 box challenge, but emphasize warming up with very planned, precise lines.

    Next Steps:

Head to the 250 box challenge, practice drawing through ellipses

    Lines:

It looks like the starting points of your lines start to fray more and more the further down the page you get- The first few lines (near what I'm assuming is the top of the page, where you started) have normal fraying at the end, but further down I get the sense that it was a bit more rushed.

    Ellipses:

A lot of these ellipses aren't drawn through a full two times, especially the ones drawn on the ghosted planes. It also looks like the smaller ellipses are drawn through more times than the larger ones.

    Boxes:

I'm jealous of your rotated boxes exercise, mine is a mess! The rough perspective exercise looks like it has quite a few wobbly lines, When I got to this point I felt like I was rushing through some things and not ghosting my lines as thoroughly as I should be.

    Next Steps:

Great start with Lesson 1! It looks like moving onto the 250 box challenge (and focusing on ghosting lines and consistently making confident strokes) is a great next step.

Ellipse Master Template

Ellipse Master Template

This recommendation is really just for those of you who've reached lesson 6 and onwards.

I haven't found the actual brand you buy to matter much, so you may want to shop around. This one is a "master" template, which will give you a broad range of ellipse degrees and sizes (this one ranges between 0.25 inches and 1.5 inches), and is a good place to start. You may end up finding that this range limits the kinds of ellipses you draw, forcing you to work within those bounds, but it may still be worth it as full sets of ellipse guides can run you quite a bit more, simply due to the sizes and degrees that need to be covered.

No matter which brand of ellipse guide you decide to pick up, make sure they have little markings for the minor axes.
