Maybe I need to look more closely at the assignments for the lessons. because I drew that tulip as a flower in a section. maybe I needed to show the texture of the section of something, not just a cut,

and not just something in a section.

Do I need to practice a little before doing the test homework?

I mean, I do my homework right after watching the video (warm-up and then the assignment).

For example, the task of organic arrows, maybe I need to do 3 pages first to understand how it all works.

And then only do it on other sheets to check.

It's so uncomfortable to say that we are not drawing to hang it on the fridge. But if I need to make more attempts to understand. Maybe there will be fewer mistakes and less work for those who give criticism if I make at least 3 attempts and analyze what I have done before sending it for criticism.

Once again, I want to thank you for helping beginners for free.

    Here's some extra homework)

    TEXTURES.

I can't do it, maybe I need to look at more detailed tutorials outside of this course on textures.

I try to draw only shadows, and it turns out to be some crap)

I didn't expect anyone to analyze the homework for lesson 2. Because there is more work than in lesson 1.

Thank you so much for taking on this. Helping newbies to progress.

Lines: they are a bit shaky (there are also some normal You need to draw the line with confidence, which will ensure a smooth flow. Not too fast and not too slow. More practice drawing from the shoulder and you will get better results.

Ellipses: I hope you're using the ghost method. Because some of them have a wobbly outline. With the funnels, the line in the middle should divide the ellipses into symmetrical halves (i can see that you're trying).

Rough perspective: I don't think it's a big deal, but you can only use the ruler in this exercise for the frame and the horizon line. Everything else should be drawn by hand.

Read or look carefully, it will help you in the future.

And don't forget to warm up before doing the exercises and the 50% rule.

I mark the lesson as completed. Good luck with your further studies)

    Hi.

The lines: they're shaky. I hope you use the ghost method. And you draw from the shoulder. Also you need to move confidently and fast enough and smoothly.

Ellipses: On funnels, the line in the middle should cut the ellipses into symmetrical halves.

Rough perspective: Horizontal lines should run parallel to the horizon line. Vertical lines should run perpendicular to the horizon line.

    Next Steps:

    Congratulations.

Proceed to the execution of 250 boxes)

    Good job.

The lines are a little wobbly. And a little hairy in the beginning.

On the funnels, the line should cut the ellipses into two symmetrical halves.

I did not notice any big mistakes.

Lines: they're a bit shaky. In the last task (Organic perspective) they are like arches bending. I hope you're drawing from the shoulder. If so, try to deliberately bend the line in the opposite direction.

Ellipses: I hope you're using the ghost method, because you have a discrepancy on the second pass through the ellipse. With funnels, the line in the middle should divide the ellipses into symmetrical halves.

Rough perspective (page 10): horizontal lines should be perfectly parallel to the horizon line. Vertical lines should be perfectly perpendicular to the horizon line.

Rotated boxes: they do not seem to rotate. Also, the boxes to be drawn here are not perfectly rectilinear or cuboid. The far plane of these boxes will be smaller than the near one.

Ellipse Master Template

Ellipse Master Template

This recommendation is really just for those of you who've reached lesson 6 and onwards.

I haven't found the actual brand you buy to matter much, so you may want to shop around. This one is a "master" template, which will give you a broad range of ellipse degrees and sizes (this one ranges between 0.25 inches and 1.5 inches), and is a good place to start. You may end up finding that this range limits the kinds of ellipses you draw, forcing you to work within those bounds, but it may still be worth it as full sets of ellipse guides can run you quite a bit more, simply due to the sizes and degrees that need to be covered.

No matter which brand of ellipse guide you decide to pick up, make sure they have little markings for the minor axes.
