1. Line extension
Missing lines in boxes 3, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 28, 32, 33, 34, 36, 40, 41, 46, 47, 51, 53, 55, 56, 61, 63, 64, 74, 81, 122.
Wrong direction in boxes 70, 154, 213, 140 (it's a mess).
2. Divergences & Parallel lines
A lot of your boxes are suffering medium divergence issues.
Apparent parallelism in boxes 11, 57, 64, 140.
3. Hatching lines
Missing hatching in boxes 47, 238.
4. Lineweight
Most of your boxes lineweights seem okay, though exibhiting wobbly issues.
5. Wobbly & Repeating lines
Almost 70% of your boxes have wobbly lines. Some of them have repeating lines.
6. Similar orientations with boxes
Most of your boxes look different albiet with some boxes looking similar.
7. Inner corner
Missing corner in boxes 81, 106 (an entire face is missing on top), 151 (same as 106).
Next Steps:
Do 20 additional boxes.
-
First 5 will have rapid convergence (VPs are closer) with plotted VPs
-
Second 5 will have slow covergence (VPs are far away and usually off page) with plotted VPs
-
The remaining 10 will be a mix of rapid and slow convergence with no Plotted VPs
Make sure to draw with your shoulder and don't repeat lines when drawing the boxes. Repeating lines are bit okay when doing the lineweights of the silhouette of the box. Make sure not draw through the boxes and dont miss the corners. Don't forget to hatch the faces pointing towards the observer.
The Science of Deciding What You Should Draw
Right from when students hit the 50% rule early on in Lesson 0, they ask the same question - "What am I supposed to draw?"
It's not magic. We're made to think that when someone just whips off interesting things to draw, that they're gifted in a way that we are not. The problem isn't that we don't have ideas - it's that the ideas we have are so vague, they feel like nothing at all. In this course, we're going to look at how we can explore, pursue, and develop those fuzzy notions into something more concrete.
